Make The Bottle Lip Is All The Way Down So You Can Clamp The Bottle Down. Turn The Air Pressure On. (Has To Be 75psi)

Wing length and width affect how far a rocket will fly. Shorter wings lead to less air resistance and farther flights based on trials of rockets with different sized wings. Data from the trials is shown in a table with the 9x6 wing size rocket traveling the farthest average distance of 77 meters, supporting the hypothesis that shorter wings allow greater distance. The document also lists the materials used and procedures for building and launching the rockets to collect flight distance data.

A. What will happen to our rocket if we Increase our wing length?

B. If we have shorter wing lengths, then the rocket will go further because less air resistance.
C.
Wing Legnth/Width depends on how far the rocket will fly.

D. mass, rocket styles, pressure, flight angle
E. Duct tape, Carpet, Pop bottles, launcher, cardboard.
F. First, measure the wings length/Width
Cut them out.
Attach them to the rocket with duct tape
Filled the bottles with water. Top-125mL Bottom=500mL
Remove the cap and put the bottle in the middle pipe.
Make the bottle lip is all the way down so you can clamp the bottle down.
Turn the air pressure on. (has to be 75psi)
Pull the string and YELL launch.
Run along the fence (from pole to pole is 3m)
Count how many it is to get to the bottle.
When you get that number times by 3 and you get how many meters the bottle traveled
Record the data.
Repeat

Our hypothesis was correct because the smaller wing lengths the farther it went. If we could change
anything it would be the weather. While we we doing our rocket launching, the wind was really strong
so it could have affected the flight and length of the rocket. You can see in our graph that the less area
will go longer. So, wing length 9x6 is the best length.
