Createtheshapes
Hallmarksofthisstyleiscolorfulsquaresandrectangleslaidoutinagrid.PowerPointsalignmenttoolsmakeiteasy.
Startbyinsertingasquare.IfyouclicktheRectangleshapeontheHometabandsimplyclickontheslide,youllautomaticallygetasquare.Youcanthen
resizeitbydraggingonanycornerbuttomaintaintheperfectsquareshape,pressandholdtheShiftkeyasyoudrag.Or,youcanclicktheRectangleshape,
pressandholdtheShiftkeyanddragthesquareontheslidetothesizeyouwant.
Beforegoinganyfurther,withthefirstsquareselected,clicktheFormattabandchooseShapeOutline,NoOutline.
Tip:Toquicklyfilltheslidewithsquares,placethefirstsquareaboutwhereyouwantitandpressCtrl+D.Movetheduplicatetotherightofthesquare,
makingsureitisperfectlyalignedwithitnothigherorlower.LookatPowerPointsalignmentguidesandyoullfeelthesecondsquareclickintoplace.Then
pressCtrl+Dagainuntilyouhavethesquaresyouwant.Finally,selectallofthesquaresandduplicatetheminasecondrow.Youwanttheverticaland
horizontaldistancestobethesame.
Someoftheshapeswillneedmorespace,soyoucanturnthemintorectanglesthattakeupthespaceof2squares.Simplydeleteoneofthesquaresand
dragthesidehandleoftheremainingsquareuntilitlinesupwiththerightsideofthesquareaboveorbelowit.Again,youshouldseealignmentguidesto
helpyou.Youmightwanttomakethesechangeslater,afteryoufillinthecontentandseehowmuchspaceitneeds.

Formattheshapes
Filltheshapeswiththecolorsinyourthemecolors.Rememberthatthisstyleuseslotsofbrightcolors.Thenentertextintosomeoftheshapesandinsert
imagesintoothers.
Tofillashapewithanimage,selectitandontheFormattab,chooseShapeFill,Picture.Inthedialogbox,youcaninsertpicturesfromyourcomputeror
onlinesources.
Note:IfyouusetheBingsearch,youllneedtochecktheCreativeCommonslicensetomakesurethatyoucancomplywithit.Forexample,youmightneed
commercialuseandmodificationsallowed.Butinordertolegallyusetheimage,youneedtoprovideattributionintheformofalabelontheslide.Youllneed

OnceyouvejumpedtoaseriesofslidesfromtheMenuSlide,youmightwanttohavetheuserreturntotheMenuSlidesohecanaccess
anotherslideseries.Onthelastslideofanyseriesyouvejumpedto,putawindow(button)thatsaysRETURNandassignahyperlinkthatreferencesthe
MenuSlide.ThisineffectcreatesaSubroutineinanormalcomputerlanguagelikeFORTRANorC.
