Dearest Punong Barangay,
The undersigned is a Ph. D. in Biology Student from the
Mindanao State University Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT)
undergoing a research on the Assessment on the Seagrass Species in
Maubo Beach, Jolo, Sulo Island, Mindanao, Philippines. This study is
made possible through the support of the Department of Science and
Technology (DOST).
The main objective of the study is to assess the bio-diversity of the
seagrasses found in Maubo Beach, Jolo, Sulo, MIndanao, Philippines.
The study would also seek information on the different activities that
would likely threaten the seagrass beds in the area as well as activities
that preserved, conserved and protected this ecosystem.
Different activities will be made such as quadrant sampling along
Maubo Beach and Key Informant Interview with key informants that
could provide information on the different activities made by the Local
Government Unit on the preservation, conservation and protection of
the seaagrass resources in the area.
In this connection, I would like to ask permission to allow me to
pursue the conduct of the study in the area which will be held on May
7-9, 2016.
