REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

(CONSULTANCY SERVICES)

CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR CARRYING OUT FEASIBILITY STUDY, DETAILED ENGINEERING


DESIGN AND PREPARATION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS FOR PEMBA AIRPORTAND CONDUCT/CARRY
OUT ZANZIBAR AIRPORTMASTER PLAN AND LAND USE PLAN FOR ABEID AMAN
KARUMEINTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (AAKIA).
1. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has received a loan from the African Development
Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Transport Sector Support Program(TSSP). It is intended that
part of the proceeds of this loan will be appliedto eligible payments under the contract for consultancy
services for carrying out feasibility study, detailed engineering design and preparation of tender documents
for PembaAirport and conduct/carry out Zanzibar Airports Master plan and land use plan for AAKIA.
2. The services included under this assignment are devided into two stages:
Stage 1: Carrying out feasibility study, detailed engineering design and preparation of tender
Documents for Pemba Airport.
Stage 2: Conduct/carry out Zanzibar Airport Master Plan and land use plan for AAKIA.
3. The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation Zanzibar, on behalf of the Government of
the United Republic of Tanzania, now invites eligible consulting firms to express interest in providing the
above mentioned services. Interested consultantsmust provide information indicating their qualifications for
performing the services. Such information may include brochures, description of assignments of similar
nature in the last 10 years, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate managerial and
technical skills among staff related to the assignment, knowledge transfer, etc. For each completed project,
the Consultant shall provide the name and address of the Client, commencement and completion dates,
name(s) of lead and associate firms. Cited projects with insufficient information will not be considered.
Consultants may form a joint venture to enhance their chances of qualification.
4. Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and selection procedure shall be in accordance with the
African Development Banks: Rules and Procedures for the Use of Consultants May 2008 Edition-Revised
July 2012 which is available on the Bankss website at (www.afdb.org).
5. Interested Consultants may obtain further information at the address below during office hours from 08:00
15.00 hours local time on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on Public Holidays.
6. Expressions of interest, in writting, must be delivered to the address below on or before 10:00 hours local
time on 12 JULY 2016 clearly marked: CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR CARRYING OUT FEASIBILITY
