Arduino Report Background

During a course, the group was assigned tasks to create an obstacle avoiding robot, understand the working of accelerometers and gyroscopes, and communicate with a buggy using Zigbee. They were motivated to complete the tasks to showcase their work and evaluate their performance. Their goals were to have weekly team meetings, work 4 hours per week under mentor guidance using online tutorials, divide tasks among members, learn to use a new sensor every 1.5 weeks, and devote 8 hours to self study on Arduino robots.

BACKGROUND

PROJECT CONTEXT
During this course , our group was assigned various tasks such as:
o To create a Obstacle Avoiding Robot
o To understand the working of Accelerometer and gyroscope
o To communicate buggy using Zigbee Device.
We were required to complete these tasks, and showcase them to our mentors as
our Task Evaluation Performance.

MOTIVATION
The main reason to get an Arduino is that you can make stuff with it. We can
practically build anything and everything, with the help of right sensors and
equipments. For people that have never worked with code and electronics
before, Arduino seems to be mind blowingly cool and it seems like they can't
stop building things. One of the biggest points is how easy it is to get started
without investing a lot of money upfront.

LAYOUT FOR ACHIEVING PROJECT GOALS

Weekly Team meetings with members of the group.
Working 4hrs per week (2 Labs) under the guidance of our esteemed
mentors.
Using online tutorials and Arduino and Zigbee related videos, as a
reference, to complete various tasks assigned to us.
Dividing the tasks such as coding, testing , debugging , connections,
among various team members of our group.
Learning to use a new sensor and its applications , per 1.5 week.
Devoting 8 self-study hours to learn and acquire knowledge related to
Arduino Robot to perform tasks such as Line Follower, Obstacle
Detection ,etc.
