Dear friends,
I would like to describe my TCS interview experience with you friends.
My interview dated on 10.10.13
Timing 5.30 pm (raining outside)
I was the 5th person to attend the interview followed by sudharson.
my name was called by the HR person .
I suddenly went near him and i said good evening sir in the loudvoice and he greeted me
back.
we were walking in the pathway about to enter the panel.
I remember exactly my panel number was 13, suddenly i thought it was the unlucky number
something is gonno happen.
on the pathway he asked me
HR:hadur dinner?
ME:yes I had ,how about you sir
HR: yes I had balaji ,i gone through your resume it was nice
ME:thank you sir.
HR: how are you ?
ME: I am fine , you sir??
HR: I am very fine balaji( he was so amicable since he repeatly tell my name often ,,i like that
very much)
the students waited outside watched cleanly, when HR gug and me were talking with each
other in the pathway.
he enter the room ,asked me to wait outside . i waited for 2 min then he called me by my
name .
i entered the room,there are two HR (1 man +1 lady ) and again i greeted them.
I was really shocked about my 1st question which was put forward by the lady HR
When is ur next interview ??i really shocked and i replied positively ..the students havnt
cleared the apptitude round are going to attend Wipro on 15th like that i said ,,
then she asked about the wipro pattern ,,elligibiltycriteria,,and the how many of ur friends
going to attend ,,like that she asked ,,i told all the things clearly including numbers,,and she
was impressed since i said about numbers( 223 total -86 cleared appti ) and also about VEC
and VIT numbers
she asked about the my project i started to show by project photos in a separate files..
i explain in the brief manner about all the project that i did in that presentation for about 20
min ..

i was not comfortable with explaining the project in sitting position ,,so i asked her shall i
come near u mam ,,so that ii can explain it clearly since u were not able to see the photos
,,like that i said ..
she said ok for that ,,,i went near her and i explained it ,,she had lot of doubts ,,she asked
about doubts and i explained her doubts in the well defined manner...
suddenly she said ,u explaining it clearly ,,,if i steal ur idea what will u do ??/
like that she asked...but i suddenly showed my patent files and i said i had already patented so
u cant able to steal my idea ,,,like that i replied and she was impressed .
On that time another HR surfed my files thoroughly,,,

then he started to put the questions from mech technical ,,,

about
laws of thermodynamics
fluid mechanics
mechatronics (I quoted Eg as : washing machine and i explained )

And he greeted me good..

and he asked about pointers ,,embedded system,,and he asked me to talk about Information
technology for 5 min and I finished well..
and also i prepared about TCS in the 40 pages presentation but ididnt get the chance to show
my ppt since both are asking me questions back to back,,,buti suddenly stoped them and i
shows my ppt in the gentle way ,,and also i prepared another hand desinged presentation ,i
showed to them..( herei like to thank manikandan who helped me to took printout at the last
min)
they said it was really nice..and they ask me shall i take this .....i said suddenly said yes sir u
can take,,,its yours,,,i said in the nimble way
and he asked about my staying in hostel ,,,
I replied "I am enjoying a lot ,,,since ihadnt stayed in hostel before,,,it has lot of advantage
,,we can able to have group studies so that unknown topics can be easily understood,,and also
lot of information can be shared and my friends helped me a lot while preparing for
aptiround,,verbal round like that i said,....
finally he asked me three questions...
1.do u ok with 2 years bound ,,,,i said yes
2.can u able to work at night ,,,,i said yes

3.do u like to work at any place,,,i said yes

and he asked me do u have any queries........
i asked ibeleive that i will be placed in TCS,,,
what will be my first assignment as soon as i enter the TCS campus,,,so that i can prepare for
that since i was a mechanical engineer,,,like that i asked
he said ,,,balaji it depends upon the project allotted for u,,,and also no one knows what will be
ur domain and it will be allocated after training got over...
my interview went about 35-40 mins....
I finally greeted them thank you,,
I left the room and again i saw the number 13..
Actually i was in the dream for that 35 min ,,,,,suddenly David sir called me loudly i came
into real world that second ,,,
i said i did well ,,,to david sir.........
i cracked TCS finally.......

Hi guys,
This is about my experience with TCS HR.
My panel number is 8 and they called me as the last one among the toppers.
There were two hr persons and they were very friendly and it is more of an interactive session
than an interview.
They asked about me, my family, basic questions in C , Area of interest and about my project.
The whole session lasted for only about 18 minutes.
The questions are as follows :

16. Whats your greatest achievement in College?
17. Explain your project.
18. What do you know in C and what are you currently interested in C?
19. What is array, pointer and structure ..give me practical examples
20. Know anything about objects?
21. Are you flexible to work anytime?
22. What will you do if I put you in a project away from your comfort zone?
23. Do you any queries
These are the various questions shot at me.
I request all my friends and juniors to concentrate on two things in HR round.

Speak fluently in calm, composed and efficient manner. They are checking mainly our
communication skills than technical skills. Have a positive sense of humour and a pleasant
smile all the time.

Feel free to be frank and at the same time be diplomatic. Talk like an Adult, they are
looking for matured replies and avoid one liner replies.

Have a positive attitude, be a hard and smart worker. Speak clearly, have clarity in your
thought process, be genuine yet diplomatic and dont forget to smile. Never have fear, they
are all very friendly.
Be an optimist! That will do good to get into TCS!

Dear All
I am writing to share my experience during TCS interview.
VERBAL ROUND:
Since I had no apts round, I started preparing for verbal, which is not so difficult to crack,
provided you practice for it.
On 9-9-2013, I had my verbal round which was scheduled to be conducted around 5.30.
But unfortunately there was a twist in the tale. It was re-scheduled to 4.30. However we were
on time and everything went on well.
Successfully completed my verbal round.
Pre HR INTERVIEW Feelings:
Then ever since my name was short listed for HR interview,I had night mares. I suddenly
woke up by 3am, 4am (actually slept by 1am) and was walking around the hostel corridor and
again slept. I was a bit tensed.
Since I was not from a computer science background, I was not confident about it.
On 10-10-2013, After some changes our interview was planned to be conducted by around
2pm. But there were some changes.
As there were further delays, ironically I was'nt tensed any more but was excited expecting
the Interview. I decided to play on my strength and accept if I dont know the answer.
We were waiting in the placement cell from 4pm. As the time passed I started feeling hungry.
I was starving for food ( AS WELL AS THE JOB ).
THE HR INTERVIEW:
I entered panel nos 4. There were 3 HR s. 2 Gentlemen and a lady HR.
Shook hands with them and took my seat.
As usual the 1st question was tell me about yourself.
TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF:

When I started about my project saying it added more colour to my engg life, They stopped
me and asked to tell them about my project
I was totally relieved, as I said earlier got the chance to play with my strength rather than
other technical and computer oriented questions.
Project:
Was asked to describe its functions, how it works, materials used, dimensions etc.
I didnt remember the dimensions of the gear used, but I managed telling in detail about why I
used the specific gear, its advantages and said "but idont remember its specifications, if I
brush its details I will remember it"
Spoke about my achievements.
They asked about further improvements.
And they were okay with my project part.
Computer Based:

They asked to rate me in "C" out of 5.

I rated me with 2/5 and said I know only the basics, and I will surely learn in depth when I
enter TCS.

They enquired about software proficiency in my core, like pro-e.

I said I know pro-e and I designed my project with it.

They asked if i know any other software in my core.

I said I know solidworks, I dont have certifications, but it was a part of my academics and I
know the basics in it.
And they surprised me by asking to write a "C" program.
They asked me to write a program to "add 2 integers" :P.
Was delighted and wrote.
GENERAL HR:
I was asked the common questions like

Why tcs being a mechengg?

Tell me about TCS
What about the 2yrs bond
Will you work ni8 shifts
Will you work if placed in North India
Where do you want to see yourself 5yrs from now
Ask me some questions

Then earlier I said I acquired some leadership skills in my school being "food and hygiene
minister" and also said I want to be a team leader 5 yrs from now.
So they asked

What role you played as a leader?

3 main qualities of a leader
What kind of leader do you want to be.

Finally shook hands with them concluding nice meeting you sir and madam. They too greeted
me in return.
My interview lasted for around 50 minutes. The longest ever for any candidate in VCET I
guess.
Came out with confidence.
End of my story.
Now I am placed in TCS, and will be working as Assistant System Engineer! :)

Dear all,
let me share my interview experience to all of you.
We boarded the train on 7th oct. after a very tired journey a good sleep was sufficient to
freshen up.
It was fully preparation on 8th oct.
on 9th oct aptitude test was conducted. lot of preparation from starting gave me a lot of
confidence. It was quite difficult for me but eventually solved 27 questions correctly.. After
attending the test i knew was going to be selected..andi did it...
the main day arrived.... October 10th.. THE INTERVIEW....
I was asked to assemble at 7.30 am..interview was at 3.30 pm... i was the last student to
attend interview. it happened around 6.30 pm...
there were 2 HR's. a male and a female.
HR: how was ur day?
ME: it has been a awesome day for me..looking for a good conversation for next few
minutes...

working late night is not at all a problem for me because i have completed a lot of
assignments at nights.

i have been a part of chennai for 18 years trichy and madurai for 4 years and it would be great
experience to be a part of new culture.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED PLACED IN TCS

Greeting,
I am very proud to say that our mechanical guys had made a history in TCS Recruitment.
Telling about my experiences, I have attended correctly about 25 aptitude out of 30.
Try to concentrate more on aptitude as it is the eligible criteria.
Next is "INTERVIEW".This cannot be faced without self confidence and communication.
My panel no is 24,
First question is "Had your lunch are not?".
I said "I had sir."
Second question is "what are the types of advanced machining process?"
I answered this question correctly.
Third question is "Describe about electro-chemical energy method?"
I explained it with a working process and example.
Next they started to ask me out of my area of interest and they tried to corner me.
At a point i do not know the answer to the question which HR asked.
soi answered as "sorry to say this that i am totally scattered sir."

They said "No problem let us get to other questions."

In that situation, I gave my profile which i prepared for about 25 pages.
so they started to ask about my profile and questions continued.
Finally they came to ask about my projects which i mentioned in the profile.
I explained every project which they asked...
They felt satisfied with my answers related to project.
Then they asked "Did you complete any certification courses?"
I replied that "I completed DOA which is a course related to MS-OFFICE and Mail
preparation".
The HR asked me solve a problem in excel sheet and MS-Word in his system.
I managed to solve that.
Then they asked "How do you feel now?".
I replied that "I am little bit tensed while answering technical questions..sorry for
answering like that sir".
They said "you answered well only.I just tested you how you react to question out of
your area of interest".
Last question is "Do you like to ask anything to us?"
I asked "what courses should a fresher should complete while entering to TCS."
They replied as "It will be listed in the campus commune once you have been selected".
They appreciated me for preparing such a profile and way of presentation.
Finally i submitted a CD about TCS profile and they said "We can see that later".

This mail can only express by means of words.But in real only if you are confident in answer
a question and communication can help you.
Nothing is important than this two things.
1.Be prepared for everything on your resume.
2.Don't show your nervous outside.
3.Do the level best in answering the questions.
4.Don't say FALSE answers to questions.
5.Your attitude should be expressed in the interview.
6.Even though you can't answer any question don't get nervous or don't lose your
confidence.
They need a person who is best in attitude,good at communication and technical
knowledge.

Hi,
I would like to share my TCS interview experience with you guys.
First I would like to mention some details about the Online Aptitude test.
The SMART materials that was provided proved to be very very useful. I got about 8
questions directly from the materials and also some questions were based on the materials.
So I totally attended about 23 questions in the aptitude section and the verbal section was
very easy.
Then Regarding my interview experience,
My panel number was 20 and I was the last to attend the interview as a whole.
I entered the room and greeted them Good Evening and I took my seat.
There were one observer one technical person and one HR person.
The observer did not asked me any questions.He was just observing my actions til the end.
HR and technical interviewers only interacted with me.
The first question that faced was "Tell me about yourself".
I was feeling nervous and so i had trouble at the start. But I continue to talk and i just had the
flow then.
I introduced myself with the order Name, place, school, College, project, paper, area of
interest and my hobbies
when I said my hobbies were Reading Books and Collecting Bank notes, HR asked me what
is the currency of China and Japan. I answered it correctly.
Then the technical person asked about my Area of Interest. I said that my interests are
welding and Jet propulsion and i continued on saying that the reason for jet propulsion as my
favorite. I told them I had a passion towards space from since I was a child.
then the HR asked a simple question related to travelling in space and i gave an answer.
He then said that the answer was fine.
Again technical person asked do you know anything about programming?
My answer was Yes sir I have learned the basics of C in my first semester.
Then he asked to say some terms related to C and I was able to say some.
He then asked to tell the different data types for which also I gave a suitable answer.
HR questioned that you do not have enough programming knowledge and what will you do in
TCS?
I explained that TCS is also doing mechanical related projects and i can be a part of it.
They cornered me saying that Programming is also essential for mechanical related projects.

I answered that my competency was adaptability and hence i can adapt myself by learning C
programs even though I am from mechanical stream.
HR again moved to my area of interest and asked me how did igot the passion for space?
I told them a small story about my interest.
I had some questions from Finite Element Analysis asked by the HR all for which I gave
correct answers.
Again they asked me to tell something about my project. I gave a detailed explanation about
my projects which I consider was the best part in the whole interview.
Then finally HR suggested that I could do my M.Tech in Space related programs even after
working for couple or 3 years as I have a rare interest.
I think my communication as a whole was good. Even though I was a little bit afraid at the
start of interview, I gained confidence slowly.

Dear all,
After lot of disappointments,failure, quarrels finally i got a good news that I got placed
in TCS.
On october 9,2013 I had Verbal ability test and I got selected for HR round.
On october 10,2013 we were scheduled to have interview at 7.45am but it was rescheduled to
4.00pm.
I am the first guy from maduraivelammal to face the interview. I got panel 12 seated with
3male HRs.I faced stress,technical and general HR questions .I entered the room and they
asked me "sudharson your home is near temple, right!!!".
i exclaimed and replied s sir.
Do you know sriviliputur?"
I gave a brief reply.
Do you know kalasalingam university?
Yes sir.
I studied there replied by one of the HRs.
Oh good.....
Which movie you watched recently???
Suddenly i couldn't able to recollect then i replied soodhukavvum.
It is old movie sudharson...
I replied "sir but i watched conjuring " then i started to narrate my movie experience.. They
paid their attention to my words .
They asked what is the biggest thing that happened in your life.
I replied with some irrelevant answer and he repeated the question then i got it and replied the
correct answer which contains info about the project.

Still we didn't understand , how the duster collects dust effectively?

Sudharson you are very good in your core technical and u wil not able to survive in tcs......
I got shocked but ididnt show any facial reaction. And i replied positively.
After a very good interaction between me and hr another hr asked which programming
language do you know?
I replied basics in c
He asked "tell me about DBMS".
I dont know anything about dbms but by god grace i explained about DBMS and he got
satisfied. Then he asked another question from Dbms but i replied sorry sir I don't know the
answer.
Then the question was what is meant by thermodynamic laws
I answered very nicely with lot of examples.
Then we had a talk about Tcs service agreement,location of tcs office.
I too got a question why tcs but the question is of different form.
I answered for that question and we had a general talk and they advised me that it will be
difficult for me to survive in TCS and i replied gently and proved that i am eligible for
tcs.Then they asked " do you have any question to ask?". I asked one question then again they
asked "do you have any question?",againi asked a question and they replied and the interview
came to end.
I would like to thank my parents, siblings college,placement officer, coordinators, faculty
members and school teachers.
I thank god for giving me an opportunity...........

Remarkable days
On October 7 2013, it was a bright cold day and a pleasant morning. The flowerswere

blossoming profusely and the grass was richly green near my home. With me and 250+
VCETian board Vaigai Superfast Express from Madurai to Chennai for our placement
process. I am the last person to board the train from VCET because all are already arrived.
Our journey starts at 6.50 am, really awesome train journey for more than 7 hours with my
classmates. In train also, my placement officer distribute some aptitude questions to workout
it. After a long journey we reached the destination. Then we reached Chennai velammal with
a 1 hour bus journey and entered VEC boys hostel. Erstwhile VEC arranged transport bus
facility from Egmore to VEC.
With full tired I enter my room which is located in the 1st floor of old building,
fortunately I got room no.64. After that we went to refreshment and had nice snacks and
finished the night dinner before I went to sleep.
The next day morning, a mock TCS aptitude test is conducted by VEC but I got very low
marks (16/30). All the questions are from Smart Training but even a single questions I didnt
no. Somehow I have little knowledge to solve it. So I scared on that day. I think a lot how to
overcome these problems.
On that time words from my H.O.D twinkled in my mind and then only I scheduled
my plan and get ready to crash TCS aptitude test. Up to that I thought those 10 days are fun
trip to Chennai we can enjoy a lot. But that scenario changed suddenly.
On October 8, 2013 Night 7.30 pm, I visited all my friends room and collected 10
TCS Smart trainers question papers and make a photocopy on that. Then I start studying, I
cant go through all 300 problems, so I mug up some of the answers and also my friends
helped me to solve some tough problems. I studied up to 1.50 am and then I went to sleep.
On October 9, 2013 Morning 7.30 Am, all VCETian assembled in Anna Auditorium, VEC.
More than 1000 heads are present inside the hall and they are also students of velammal
group. So I thought its gone be a tough one to enter TCS. For everyone, Name, batch &
venue announced at that time to write the TCS aptitude test. My turns came at 3.00 pm, EEE
Lab-2.
I wrote the test well which includes 1 email writing and 30aps. After finishing the test
I have little fear in my heart because I didnt include with regards and didnt press submit
after email writing. Then I went to my room have snacks but not dinner and start sleeping.

At 9.06 pm I received a text message to my phone from my friend which contains the names
of the selected students (Includes who clear aptitude) for Next Round of TCS. I searched for
my name but I didnt found on there and then I confirmed that I didnt cleared
1st round and failed to enter TCS. My heart fully loaded with pain due to this bad incident.
I feel a lot to overcome it but I cant able to cross that platform. Due to that dilemma
little tear drops from my eyes and I try to sleep with them but I cant. Suddenly at midnight
1.30 am I woke up and I simply sit in my cot and watched how my friends are preparing for
that interview. I wonder about them but I cant control myself.
(After that next morning all selected students went to Anna auditorium but I am sleeping in
my room)
Judgement Day
On October 10, 2013 the Biggest Tragedy happened in my life. At 11.00 am, some of my
friends breach the door and entered with force into my room. They try hard to wake up me.
At that time only they said your name is present in the tcs aptitude cleared list. I thought they
are kidding me and again I started sleeping. One of my friends gets angry and kicked me and
they lifted me from bed to convey this good news.
I didnt understand and start thing why
my name is left yesterday? My friend said this is not the right situation to think. Just get up
and get ready fast. I cant believe my eyes, because yesterday I cried a lot due to this enigma.
Now the entire situation changed and I feel happy. After that I went to restroom brushed my
teeth, take a bath, make myself a fresh blossoms and 1st time in my life I wore a full sleeves
formal shirt. Then I went to Anna auditorium at 11.20 pm. There they told me to check my
TCS application and then I had my lunch at 1.00 pm and get back to Anna auditorium.
Now another problem occurs, I didnt study or prepare for TCS interview.
I wonder about my friends, all are having some extra items like presentation, special things
about TCS, profile and much more. But I didnt have any single paper other than my
certificates. Even though I did not know what is TCS? And what are they doing? But I have
my smartphone includes internet on my hand. With the help of that I started studying more
number of things about TCS and my friends also helped me to know something about TCS.
At that time one of my friend help me to wear a tie.
At 3.00 pm all VCETian eligible for TCS interview moved to a seminar hall and superintend
told that wait for some minutes, we will call you. I forget all worries and started preparing my
area of interest. At 4.50 pm they asked us to move to placement cell. All eligible students sat
in their allotted chairs one by one. At that time 5.00 pm the match starts without any toss. I
had little shivering and nervous before interview.

In order to avoid that I make myself calm start singing my favourite song inside my heart.
One by one moves slowly and randomly to each panel when volunteer from TCS called their
names. Then at 5.40 pm 1 volunteer person called my name and told me to enter panel 1.
More than 20 panels availed but luckily I got panel no.1
With a little anxiety I knocked the door but the sound was not audible. So I little tilt my head
& saw the HR via glass attached in the door. One of the HR noticed me and shook his head
(signs get in). Then I opened it and asked May I come in sir. Another 1 replied yes Deepak
get in.
(Totally 3 HR for me 1 woman & 1 HR from North India both more than 55+ in age and
another 1 technical HR from south India nearly 30+ in age, little young)
(Women sitting Left , 1 HR in middle, & 1 young Technical HR in right to me )
At 5.41 pm I entered the room and wished all the HR (but not shake hands) with smile and
they told Take your seat Deepak & I replied thank you sir.
(There is no place in table in front of me to keep my File...the table is fully loaded with
snacks , water bottle , laptops & 1 desktops. I struggle for a while but I keep with me. HR
didnt ask my file.)
Young HR: OK Deepak, Are you from Madurai or your college only??
Me: No sir my native & college both Madurai only
Middle HR: with groan sound I would like to know about you, can you tell me?
Me: Sir, Pardon
Young HR: (with smile) Tell me about yourself Deepak
Me: Stared from my name, native place, what I love in Madurai, 10th, 12th, aboutmyschool,
college, what I love in the world, why I choose velammal, mechanical & what I love in
mechanical ,what I did in the past 3 years ,and last I stated my 4 projects topic alone. (I spoke
this around 12 minutes)
Women HR: (with wonder) you did 4 projects!!!... Can you explain me Deepak?
Me: Mam,I would like to show my project to you.Then Itook a physical weapon in
myhand from my file. It contains 4 papers & each 1 includes my project title, description,
patent no. & diagram.
Young HR: Keep it in the table & start explaining
Me: I started eagerly to explain my project. I stated my 4 projects, how it works,
entirespecification, how much time to fabricate it and what achievement I made (specially
quoted i3 & PSG) and how college & CIPD help me to develop further. (I explained my

Me: (Nothing I posted) yes sir, I posted somegeneral questions about recent trendytopics
of our country, participated in polls etc

work? Me: Even though you put my job outside Indian country I will work

Me: Language not a problem sir, I have time up to my training period and I try to learn it.

At last my interview process over, but I have little fear at that time of leaving. I
noticed my watch it shows 6.27 PM. Exactly 46 minutes I played in my interview. But
those 46 minutes are like a Super-over in T20 cricket to me.
At that time I leave the placement cell & enter my room. On the other hand I am afraid for the
next 3 hours due to results. So I start watching IndvsAus cricket match with all people in the
hostel. But my mind fully circulated with results. After night dinner I stopped watching match
& went to sleep.
Then at 9.10PM one of my friends slowly came to my room and said you got selected in
TCS but I cant believe myself. Then all my classmates shouted with happy & wished me &
I convince myself and with full of delight I succeed in placement process and splintered TCS

Only due to Gods grace I thrive and prosper in TCS placement.

I sincere thanks to my H.O.D, Placement officers & coordinators who helped me to Place in
TCS
I never forget the moment before going to placement (5/10/2013 @ 1.00 pm in HOD cabin
inside our Department Room). HOD only gave me encouragement and hope in a difficult
time and in the last moment.
Because I didnt attend Smart TCS training program, missed many placement training
program offered by VCET and didnt prepare specially for TCS. So, I am grateful for my

Hi friends,
I was very happy when i cleared aptitude round in TCS. And i felt
unhappy when have been not selected in HR round. In TCS HR round, i
didn't perform well. I have known the answers for HR questions. Due to
nervousness, i can't answer there.

WIPRO: In group discussion, we choose the topic "EDUCATION SYSTEM IN

INDIA". I spoke two times and i have been selected.
I felt aptitude questions and reasoning questions are easy and
verbal questions are so tough . I choose some answers in fluke .Ya
again i have been selected for interview.
They asked us to write an essay on the topic "EFFECTS OF GLOBAL
WARMING" at 11.00 clock p.m. Hmmm i wrote for two pages.
I felt that i should not give up this time. Then i decided to make
confidence with myself so that i consulted with ECE students. They
gave some valuable ideas.
HR INTERVIEW:
HR asked about Bike, CAD and CAM, Flask, Global warming.
Yai answered well.
Then he entered into dangerous part nothing but "C , C++".
I answered for some questions only.
I told about my analytical skills and adaptability. I showed my
confidence there and also he appreciated me.
He asked me about my area of interest and i explained top to bottom
about that. He was really impressed.
At last, he asked me "Do you want anything to ask me?" . I didn't ask
anything but i gave handshake with him and said, "Thank you sir and
asked him where i have to improve? "

Aptitude:
This time I rectified my mistake, I paid 100% concentration.
Analytical & logical sections were great that I finished before the
intended time. Next the Wipros chief warrior came, yeah Verbal

section. I am pretty sure that taking control over this section will
ensure my success to the maximum. There were 18 questions that had to
be completed within 16 minutes. I answered 9 questions correctly,3
unknown, and then came the reading comprehension, it was challenging,
I couldnt get the in-depth meaning of passage, as I was running out
of time. There were two RCs (6 questions), I caught in the waves of
hesitation, perplexed, then I took a deep breath, pacified myself and
managed to answer one RC (3 questions) correctly, now 15 seconds left,
still 1RC (3 questions) had to be answer, I sought the help of Mr.
Luck, he answered 2 questions and screen became unresponsive, logged
out automatically. 1 question left unanswered.

How I made Wipro mine?

I would call it as 38 hours mission. Before getting into my Wipro
experience, let me first elucidate my failure mission, yeah about my
TCS failure.
Failure is equally memorable as success:
Holy cow! I was greatly disappointed when I came out of TCS aptitude
online test. The thing which I lacked during my online test was
concentration. My mind wavered. I didnt utilized 80 minutes
properly. I am sure the questions were resolvable, I knew those
concepts yet I didnt clear. I had prepared lot of stuffs for the HR
interview. I had designed the poster for TCS, describing about their
services, values and qualities.
I was unprepared to meet that failure. I didnt expect my name to be
shortlisted since it was obvious from my performance. However I did
expect Mr. Luck to play his role, as usual he ignored me, and thats
the moment I said Tata to TATA. ( Lol) I managed to restore myself. I
got different flavors from different persons. I knew nothing about
Wipro process since I strongly believed that I could get placed in
TCS.
Battle between certainty & uncertainty:
I prepared myself mentally. I trained my mind that Wipro is a good
concern than TCS. Its actually a kind of brain train. However the
present recruitment policy of Wipro tumbled my mental strength. It
took only 27 in TCE (0 mechanical). Regarding Sairam it took only 2
mechanical guys. One of my best friends mustered me initial courage to
crack Wipro by whatsoever & howsoever strategy. Sometimes I felt like
confident, and sometimes I collapsed, even thought of evade out from
the entire placement. I was capricious.
I was trapped inside VEC; I never had been inside the same building
for these many days. I had no other go. I started to collect
materials. I received constant motivation from my beloved ones, who
believed my innate stuffs. So now it became necessary for me to get

placed. I just had to hold my esteem.The other important motivational

factor was the reply from our HOD.

UST GLOBAL TECHNOLOGIES Interview Experience 2014 batch

Candidate name: Ramesh kannan.
FIRST ROUND:
The first round is online test round. The test duration is 60 minutes. There were
four sections,
1.Verbal ability
2.Logical Reasoning
3.Quantitative aptitude
4.Computer objectives
There was no sectional timing. So, I spent that 60 minutes reasanobaly for each
section. I spent nearly 38 minutes for Verbal and Logical reasoning sections and remaining time
for other two sections. The critical level of the test was moderate to me. I submitted my answers
with 10 seconds left.
SECOND ROUND:
The second round is Group Discussion. There were 11 Members in my group. I
was quite calm and thinking about currrentissuses (like telungana, lokpall, etc) and general group
discussion manners. After some times we got the information that some HR questions and
questions related to the projects can be asked in the GD round itself. So, I started to review these
things also. We were called after ten minutes. The HR greeted us. Straight away they started
their business.

GD TOPIC: Has technology development made human life comfortable?

TIME: 10Minutes.
They said 60 seconds will be given to think about the topic. But actually we got
only 15 to 20 seconds. With that time I got one good point and noted that. Then the discussion
was started. Immediately, a girl started rapidly and gave her view.In the next second that she
finished I gave my point. But after, I did not have any other valued points to contribute
continuosly. I listened others views carefully and tried to capture some information. By that I got
two more clues and presented as another valued point. While the discussion was going seriously
the HR Interrupted and asked a girl to summarise (this may happen to you!!!) the discussion. She
struggled littlebit but managed.

Then they asked some students to introduce about themselves including me. When
other students introduced about them the HR told them not to repeat the things like school name,
college name, name of degree, CGPA Etc. I also planned to say like that .Then suddenly
changed the style and presended about me littlebit better that I was already planned. Finnaly the
tickmark was given near to three names and I was one of them.
FINAL ROUND:
The final round is the HR round. This is my second HR interview. I did not
panic more like TCS interview. The second round ended just before the lunch. We immediately
called after lunch. I arranged my file well.I read out my resume and was recollecting the things.
Then I sit calm without preparing until last minute. When I was waiting I was sitting near
thepanel-1 where I attended tcs interview. It gave some fear. After, the interviewer from
the panel-6came out and called my name. Then.
Me: Very good afternoon sir.
HR: yes, very good afternoon. Please sit down. Can you give your file?
Me: sure sir. (I gave it)
HR: yaramesh, tell something about you.
[ I started to introduce myself and I highlighted the things like My strength, school first
Mark, my papers, my project. I ended my introduction with Hobbies. Obsolutly, the
Question rised from that.]
HR: Ramesh, you mentioned that your hobby is to collect cricketing stills from news
Paper. What kind of photos you will collect and how you keep them?
Me: Sir, actually I am the great fan of cricket. I like the player souravganguly.
He is also my role model. I will collect his photos and as well as Indian
Players photographs and important moments. I keep them in a separate
Box ,And often I will go through them. It willl be very interesting.
HR: Ramesh! When you give introduction about yourself, you did it very mechanically,
And I could not understand the things what you said.
[ I got stunned .The negative feedback given in the initial minutes of interview .Few
Seconds I did not know what to do. I did not show the fear in my face. I have prepared my

ownpersonel profile. So, I thought this is the right time to give that. ]
Me: yes sir, if you feel like that here you can go through my profile. And, I was very eager to Meet
you. So, that could be the reason.
HR: yes man! I understand. Fine.
[He received that. Initially I had little hesitation. Beacause my interviewer is the senior Person
and I doubted, Will he impressed by this small thing?.]
HR: Ramesh! Good. It is suprisingme.what you want to say from this profile that you have
Prepared.
Me: Sir, I.. (The power cut).
[Suddenly the power went on. There is full of sillence. I did not know what do to. I Wanted to fill
the gab.]
Me: From my profile I just wanted to give the visual information about my schooling, college
Academic details, about my project to your view.
HR: yes really man I understand.
[He go through the profile with his cell phone light. A man come into the room and Switched on
the emergency light. Few seconds later the power came again.]
HR: while say about your college life in your profile you have used some poetic lines and you Have
mentioned about yout mothers feeling. Are you a emotional man? And is it . Possible a
professionel guy with emotion?
[But I struggled little bit. but I managed.]
Me: Sir, college is the place where I started my professional life. There I got the Transformation of
boy to man. So, there will be the place for emotion. And also, I was in The shelter of my parents.
From there only I tried to face the world lonely. That,s why my Mother Cried. I gave few words
to control her feelings. So. I hope I can control my emotions.
HR: yes, yes, good.

[Here another critical moment came. ya!! It is tea. I scared, because the food Item
handling may trouble us during the interview. But as I advised in placement training I Asked the
HR twice and then I took my tea. After having it for formality I placed on the table. I thanked.
While I take the tea simultaniously I took my hand kerchief at the same Time as I advised in
placement training.]
HR: did you attenet any interview before?
Me: yes I attentedtcs HR interview.
HR: why you did not selected?
Me: I smiled and said I gave my best sir. But they did not select me. I think they did not have time to
Analyse my values.
HR: ok ramesh, do you have any question to me?
[I had prepared a question]
Me: Sir, what are the career growth apportunities for me in UST?
HR: Ramesh, initially you will be given many training programs, based upon your Performance.
[I interrupted]
Me: Sure sir, I will be the best.
HR: Yes, Good.Based upon your performance you will be allotted in your job. HR: Fine
ramesh! All the best.
[We hand shaked]
Me: Thank you very much sir. And I also thank you for your wounderfulpreplacement talk in
Themornning
HR: Thank you very much.
[I left the room]
My interview took 20- 25 minutes. I was eagerly waiting for the result. But we Got the
information that the result will be announced in the next day. We immediately Vocated from

there and returned to home. The next day afternoon I received the message That I and vasanth
have been selected.
I sincerely thanks to Our chairman, Head of department, Placement officers,
Proffessors, student coordinaters who made me to succeed.
I am happy to thank my family who are backbone of my success. And I also want to
