Lesson: Verbe Tense Review

Level: Elementary

I.

Opening

1. Greetings

Take a minute or two to welcome the students, attempting to create as much a comfortable
atmosphere as possible from the very beginning. If possible, try to greet each student at the door.
If not, do so as they enter the room.

2. Link

Yesterday, we talked about Past Simple and Past Continuous.

3. Review

Today, we will practice them more. But first, lets review them quickly.

4. Elicit/ Lead in

What other verb tenses have you studied so far? Present Simple & Continuous, Perfect Simple,
Future tenses. Lets review these tenses as well.

Introducing new content/Before Listening


1. Set up the context

Controlled practice/During listening

Individual practice/After listening

Students draw a timeline and place all the verb tenses on it.
Next, they write one sentence for each of the tenses.

Closing

Each student tells one thing theyve learned today.
