Using Class Dojo for Classroom

Management

This app allows you to give your students feedback based on their
behavior throughout the day!
Once you have created an account for yourself and your classroom,
you can add your students with the + button. This is your class
homepage.

The bottom
toolbar
offers
several
helpful
tools.

Here, you can take attendance, award several students points, select a random student to
evaluate, set a timer, and display big ideas.
To take attendance, click attendance. To mark a student absent select the circle on the
upper right corner of the students box.
Notice Johnny was marked
absent, so he cannot receive
points for the day.

On the toolbar you can

award multiple students
points by selecting select
multiple. You then select
the students on the
homepage to award, and this
prompt will pop up. You
can choose to award them
positive points, or areas they
need to work on by
selecting the appropriate
box on the screen (shown
left).

You can select an individual student on the homepage as well! The same feedback prompts will
pop up:

Again, here you would select the most appropriate response with your mouse.

You can view individual reports by selecting

View Reports at the top right of the home
page. Then select students to view their reports.

Because Class Dojo allows for student and parent involvement, it is a great idea to post about
what your class is up to or needs to remember/ upcoming events! You can post this information
for everyone in the class to view by selecting Class Story on the home page, and writing the
post! You can even add a picture. Others can respond to your post with a like or a comment.
