MDB (Main Distribution Box) : It Is The Main Power Box of BTS (Base Transceiver

The MDB (Main Distribution Box) is the main power box for a BTS (Base Transceiver Station) room. It receives three-phase 440V power lines and has two main circuit breakers to connect either the primary power grid or a generator if the grid is unavailable for up to 7 hours. The MDB contains bus bars to distribute the three phases and neutral along with several circuit breakers to protect individual lines for lighting, extras, air conditioning, and a timer to control connection after six hours.

The MDB (Main Distribution Box) is the main power box for a BTS (Base Transceiver Station) room. MDB (Main Distribution Box): It is the main power box of BTS (Base Transceiver

Station) room. There are three phase lines that is provide 440 V. It is generally fixed with
the wall which is opposite from the cable window. In the MDB box there are used two
circuit breakers. One is the main circuit breaker, which is connected by DESA three
phase lines and another uses for when power supply is not available here upto 7 hours
then generator three phase lines connect with circuit breaker 2. Circuit breaker 1 has to
close before the connecting with circuit breaker 2. There are three bus bars in the MDB
box that is phase and one bus bar is neutral. For three bus bars there are three circuit
breakers thats are C1, C2, C3. It is only used for to protect the individual three phase
lines. There are use two circuit breakers for lighting thats are C4 & C5 and C6 & C7 for
Extras. Another two circuit breakers are use to protect the Air-condition thats are C8 &
C9. There is one timer, which join with two conductors. After Six hours each conductor is
connected by circuit breaker.
