Ict Assignment No.1: Submitted By: Harris Ijaz Submitted To: Dr. Hassan Khaliq

Harris Ijaz submitted an ICT assignment to Dr. Hassan Khalid on October 10, 2004 as part of the ChE-07 class in the Department of Chemical Engineering. The assignment discusses transparent electronics, which aims to produce invisible electronic circuitry and optoelectronic devices with applications in consumer electronics, energy, and transportation, such as integrating visual information directly into automobile windshields. However, making semiconductor materials, electronic contacts, and dielectric layers visually transparent presents challenges. Significant research is ongoing to discover transparent, high-performance electronic materials and incorporate them into transistor circuits.

TRANSPARENT ELECTRONICS
INTRODUCTION:
Transparent electronics (also called as invisible electronics) is an
emerging science and technology field focused on producing
invisible electronic circuitry and optoelectronic devices.
Applications include wide range of consumer electronics, new
energy sources and transportation. For example, automobile
windshields could transmit visual information to the driver.
Moreover it can also be used for the development of transparent
displays. But to make the visible semiconductor material,
electronic contacts and dielectric/passivation layers visibly
transparent is a huge task. Chemical industry has consistently
been trying to develop such materials which can be used for
making transparent electronic devices. The research is in full
swing for the development in this field. The basic tasks for the
transparent electronic industry are to discover, understand and
implement transparent high performance electronic materials.
The second goal is their implementation and evaluation in
transistor circuits.
