In such cases, the base plate behaviour resembles that of on RCC section at limit state.
The portion of the base plate in contact with concrete is subjected to upward bearing pressure
which is to be considered uniformly distributed.
If fck is the characteristic strength of the concrete, then 0.4 fck is the ultimate stress on rectangular
block. Uplift is prevented by holding down anchor bolts.
