II. Introduction
Genex Assistant is an analysis tool which enables group analysis of logfiles like
equivalents i.e. Ascom Actix or Tems Discovery.
The aim of this document is to give an intro to Genex Assistant and enable to control of
SSV reports prepared by Huawei, for intented users.
In this document, a Huawei L800 single carrier SSV report taken as reference. Least
required fields to check are indicated on a seperate excel file. Corresponding IEs
(attributes) are explained individually. Custom IEs shall be formed prior to the analysis of
specific KPIs on the report.
The IEs, KPIs mentioned in this document and attached excel file are least requirements
to check an SSV report. Further analysis may done on demand or in case of necessity.
Formal SSV Check Template

III. Introduction to Genex Asistant

a. Project Creation & Logfile Load

A project shall be created prior analysing a group of logfile (Site based logs in our case).

b. Creation of Analysis Groups

Once the project was created and corresponding log
files loaded, necessary modification/creation on
analysis groups should be done.
2 options are initiated for auto analysis group creation
based on MS or Logfile name.
Groups need to be created for multiple logfiles of a
service test. At least one analysis group should be
created for CW and CCW mobility log files.

c. Modification of Analysis Groups

Groups can be modified even after auto

generation.
MS2 can be removed from the group
for necessary conditions.

d. Analysis of Logfile Data

Before start to analyse the logfiles, analysis must be run for all analysis groups.
Genex Assistant updates IE trees after modification of analysis groups. No need to re-run
analysis after analysis groups are modified.

e. Creation of Custom Analysis Delays

User defined Delay Quries can be created on Custom Analysis module of Genex Assistant.
At least following 3 custom delays should be defined for identical analysis of SSV as shown
below.
The category of custom
delay, under delay tree.
To indicate start and end
messages&events
Must be set higher (i.e.
20000+ ms for excessive
delays)

f. Definition of Necessary Delays

IV. SSV Analysis

11

1.1 Connection Setup Time & Attached Success Rate

1.1 Connection Setup Time & Attached Success Rate :
Auto Analysis Group 1 indicates the analysis group of Attach Test(s).

12

1.2 RRC Setup Success

Auto Analysis Group 1 indicates the analysis group of Attach Test(s).

13

1.3 EPS Bearer Setup Time

Auto Analysis Group 3 indicates the analysis group of EPS Test(s).
If EPS Time is above the target (105ms), the request should be analysed from L3
messages whether it involves an authentication process. The session(s) involving
authentication process, should be ignored.

14

1.4 Ping Test :

Auto Analysis Group 4 indicates the analysis group of Ping Test(s).

15

2. Handover and Call Drop Test

2.1 Intra-Cell handover Success Rate & Call Drop Rate :
Auto Analysis Group Mobility indicates the analysis group of Clock-Wise and
Counter Clock-Wise Tests.
Drops can be found by the same way from Event tree.

16

3. Throughput test
3.1 DL & UL Throughputs :
Auto Analysis Group 17 indicates the analysis group of particular Throughput test.

17

4. CSFB Test
4.1 CSFB Call Setup Delay:
Auto Analysis Group 2 indicates the
analysis group of CSFB Test(s).
The IEs going to be used are the ones
which are created by Custom Analysis >
Delay (Page 10).
If the CSFB call setup delay is above the
target (6s), 3G call setup shall be analysed
(Mobile To Mobile (3G-3G) Call Setup < 4s).

18

4.2 Time to Return LTE (w or w/o Fast Return)

Auto Analysis Group 2 indicates the analysis group of CSFB Test(s).
The IE going to be used is the one was created by Custom Analysis > Delay (Page 10).

19

4.3 Serving Cell Parameters & CSFB Success Rate

Auto Analysis Group 2 indicates the analysis group of any test which desired to investigate
RF conditions.
Auto Analysis Group 6 indicates the analysis group of CSFB Test(s)

20

5. VoLTE Test
5.1 VoLTE Call Setup Delay :
Auto Analysis Group 2 indicates the analysis group of VoLTE Test(s).

21

5.2 VoLTE Call Setup Success & Drop & Accessibility :

Auto Analysis Group VoLTE_S1 indicates the analysis group of VoLTE Test(s)
