Film editing and video editing techniques where the editor cuts from one shot to another view that matches
the first shots action
This is an editing technique for continuity editing in which one shot cuts to another shot portraying the
action of the subject in the first shot
Creates a visual bridge which draws the viewers attention away from slight cutting
Portrays a continuous sense of the same action rather than matching two separate things
Allows shots to be shot hours apart

Shot/Reverse Shot
This is a film technique where one character is shown looking at another character then the other
characters shown looking back at the other character
180 Degree Shot
An imaginary straight line is shown when two characters are looking at each other, around the two
characters is a semi-circle, from the semi-circle the camera must not cross the other line for simplicity
reasons
