Reflection:
In this lesson plan I did listening lesson and I includes many activities
in different stages. Also, I used different strategies in this lesson so, in
this reflection I will write about three stages, activities, strategies and
how I taught the lesson plan.
In the first stage, I played recorders for two famous inventors one from
UAE and Japan and I led them to listen and take notes about the
famous inventors . Actually the students were not active because they
found problems in talking notes. So, I repeated again to them to listen
carefully. This strategy help the students to memorizing the information , develop
their learning concept and improve their listening skill. After that, I led the students
to exchange their notes with their classmate and read it loudly. This
strategy help the students to get more information and develop their
listening and speaking skills. Then, I played the records again to check
the students answers. Check their answers, let the students to stimulate their
knowledge and give students a sense of achievement.(Adrienne,2002)
the students to respond to the lesson and understand the activities. I divided the
students to four groups and in each group four students and I led the
students to discuss about the reading and what they understand from
it. The strategy is reading in group or pairs help the students to share the ideas and get
more information from other students. Also, help the students to cooperate with high
abilities with low ability students. (Gore, 2010).
In the last stage, I led the student to use their Ipad and I gave them
website to listen to the speaker about famous writer in UK. Then, I
listened to their answers these they wrote it in the worksheet. After
that, I checked the students answers and let them to correct their
answers. This activity went well because when I observed them they
did well and they did not ask more questions. Also, it help them to
develop their skills and their understanding.
To sum up, is important to recognize our lesson plan because it is
important in teaching and help the teacher to follow the right steps
and do not lose her time to remember what is the next activity. Also,
Using strategies in listening lesson can affect students in writing,
speaking and knowledge. So, the teacher can use strategies in
different ways because that help the students to participate and
interaction in reading class.
