Syncopation Exercise

Practice syncopation exercises with a metronome, starting at a moderate tempo and gradually increasing speed in small increments as you feel comfortable. Spend more time practicing at faster tempos as that is where the exercises become most challenging. The exercises involve playing rhythmic patterns with the left and right hands at different points in the beat.

Syncopation Exercise

Practice Playing each exercise with a metronome at a specific tempo, eg 72bpm.


Get used to looping each exercise several times so u can lock into the tempo. As you feel comfortable with a
tempo gradually increase the speed in small increments. eg: 72 - 88 - 92 - 100 , etc.
The faster the speed the harder this becomes so spending more time on faster tempos is all good.
