We are pleased to inform you that the Department of Pulmonary Medicine, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal and Simulation Centre, Manipal is organizing Fundamental Critical Care Support Course on 2nd and 3rd of August 2013 at Simulation Centre, Manipal University, Manipal. We will take only 40 candidates for the course on first-come first-serve basis. FAQS REGARDING THE COURSE: Q: Who is eligible for the provider course? A: Consultants, MBBS Interns, post graduate students, respiratory therapists and nurses. Q: How to register? A: Course fee plus a registration form (see the mail attachment) along with a passport size photo to be submitted. After this you will receive a course book for preparation. You have to read the course book and attend the two day course. At the end of the course there will be a test based on the course book and lectures. Q: How does this course help? A: It helps in developing basic concepts required for managing critical care cases. Candidates also get hands on experience at skill stations. A certificate is given to successful candidates by SCCM USA which is valid for 4 years. Q: How much is the course fee? A: Rs. 6500 for provider course (Only draft will be accepted, it should be made in favor of APCC payable at New Delhi) plus Rs 1000 (cash). For nurses there will be some discount. Q: Where to get the registration form? A: We will send you the soft copy via email or you can collect the hard copy at Dept of Pulmonary Medicine (Mr. Ganesh; mo. 9880053360) at the time of submission of draft. Q: How to send the draft and registration form?
