Matrix 3

This document outlines examples of how digital stories and videos can be used to integrate technology into lessons based on the Colorado Academic Standards, ISTE Standards, and Bloom's Taxonomy. Some key examples discussed include: 1) Having students create and share digital videos of experiments they perform to demonstrate their understanding of scientific concepts and allow classmates to discuss results. 2) Teachers creating digital stories to introduce new topics in an engaging way and provide visual examples for students to reference. 3) Students working in groups to create videos acting out and summarizing sections of literature being studied to encourage collaboration and analysis of texts. The reflection at the end emphasizes that technology keeps students engaged, allows for creative presentation of information,

Reflection:
Technology is growing and changing, as is education. Technology plays a key role in education and is
necessary. Technology not only keeps students engaged but it allows information to be presented in a different way
and extends to all types of learners. The third technology integration matrix further revealed the different
technologies and the different ways teachers can integrate them into classrooms. It is important to keep in mind that
as 21st century teachers, we will be teaching to students who were raised using technology. Knowing technology
and using it in your classroom is adapting to your students in a way that will foster creativity and a love of learning.
