Amanullah Khan, the 82-year-old founder of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), died in Pakistan after suffering from a chronic lung disease. Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) founder Amanullah Khan died

on Tuesday in Pakistan following a chronic lung disease, his son-in-law Sajjad Lone
said. Khan was 82.
Lone told IANS: "He was seriously ill for the past three weeks. My wife Asma Khan and
our children were with him. He died early today in Rawalpindi."

A JKLF spokesman said that the funeral prayers of the deceased would be held at
Liaquat Bagh Rawalpindi on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.
Born in Gilgit on August 24, 1934, Khan formed the JKLF in 1977. The group advocates
Kashmir's independence from both India and Pakistan. He lived in Pakistan
