Students will already have a basic understanding of dribbling and what a defender is supposed to
look like from the previous lesson.
Pre-assessment (for learning): Ask the students how a defender should look like.
Formative (for learning): Have the students show me what a defender looks like and I will be able to base the
rest of the lesson off their skills.
Formative (as learning): Students will tell me one or two things they learned today at the end of the class.
Summative (of learning):

*The defender may NOT foul. If they do, the
dribbler gets to move on to the next box.
I will tell them three ways the defender can win.
1) The dribbler dribbles out of bounds (out of the
cones).
2) The defender knocks the ball away from the
dribbler.
3) The defender steals the ball/takes the ball away
from the dribbler.
*Once I am finished demonstrating, I will ask if
the students have any questions.
