Color Code

This document provides instructions for marking a piano keyboard with color codes corresponding to musical pitches. It recommends cutting out the colored bars printed at the bottom of the page and affixing them to the appropriate keys with transparent tape. Doing so will allow students to visualize the color for each pitch as a preparation for playing music incorporated in the book using the "Rainbow Piano Technique."

The Color Code

This page shows the color for each pitch. As preparation, before playing the
scores in this book, you can mark your piano keyboard with the appropriate
colors. To mark the keyboard, cut out the color bars from the bottom of this
page and put them onto the keyboard, as illustrated in the figure below. Cut
out half the length of the bars printed below, as shown by the white line. Thus,
you have enough bars for two keyboards. We suggest to use transparent sticky
tape (not included in this book) to fix the colored bars onto the keys.
