Signed on the 13th of July of this year, Proclamation 1072 declared 18 th and 19th of
November as special (non-working) days in the National Capital Region where the
Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders Meeting will be held.
In relation to this, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)-NCR issued class
suspensions from November 17-20 in the region due to the APEC event. Anyway,
what is APEC? What will we gain from this event?
