Method Statement
1) Survey and Setting out
The survey and setting out of site site and roadway centreline shall be pegged out by the
Licensed Surveyor. Day to day survey for levels and alignment control shall be carried
out by experience surveyor. While the survey works are in progress, SESCO shall be
informed for carrying out relocation of utilities services before commencing with the
physical construction work.
2) Site Clearing
Trees are cutting down manually and vegetation will be cleared by excavator. Unwanted
vegetation shall be loaded onto Lorries for disposal to a designated dumping area within
site/off site. Site clearing is limited to areas specified according to the drawing and survey
plan provided.
3) Earthworks
One unit of excavators (SK07), One unit Roller, One unit Bulldozer/Motor Grader and
Six units of Lorry (outsources) will carry out the earth filling operation Filling materials
will be mechanically spread in layers using motor grader or bulldozer and well
compacted with roller. Testing shall be carried out under the supervision of S.O
Representative as required under the Contract. Machineries will be increased dependence
on the rates of progress on site.
All works shall be carried out in accordance with drawings and specification.
