    Installation Instructions

    1. Install the IBM SPSS Statistics 22 file you received from the online
    retailer (students or faculty/staff) or the IBM SPSS Statistics 22 file you
    downloaded from software.usc.edu (faculty/staff only).
    2. You may need to authorize the installer.

    3. The installer should begin running.

    4. On the IBM SPSS Statistics 22 -InstallShield Wizard screen,


    click Next.

    5. On the Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for IBM SPSS


    Statistics 22 screen, choose Authorized user license, then
    click Next.

    6. On the Software License Agreement screen, read the terms and


    choose I accept the terms in the license agreement, then
    click Next.

    7. On the Customer Information screen, enter your USC username and


    organization. It is OK to leave theOrganization field blank. Click Next.

    8. On the Help Language screen, select any languages you would like
    installed for SPSS Help and then clickNext.

    9. On the Assistive Technology screen, you may choose to install


    software that will enable Windows screen reading. For more
    information on this, see SPSS Help. After making your choice,
    click Next.

    On the IBM SPSS Statistics 22 Install Python

    Essentials screen, you can choose whether or not to install


    the Essentials for Python package.

    11.

    If you choose to install Essentials for Python, the following

    license agreement screen will appear. Select I accept these terms of


    the License Agreement and click Next to continue with the
    installation.

    12.

    On the Destination Folder screen, click Next to install the

    software to its default location.

    13.

    On the Ready to Install the Program screen, click Install.

    14.

    SPSS will now install. This process takes approximately 2-5

    minutes.

    15.

    On the License IBM SPSS Statistics 22 screen, click OK to

    start the license authorization process.


    NOTE: You must be connected to the Internet to successfully complete
    the authorization process.

    16.

    On the Product Authorization screen, choose License my

    product now. Click Next.

    17.

    On the Enter Codes screen, enter your authorization code.If you

    purchased your software from ITS, you received an email from ITS with
    this authorization code. If you purchased the software through an
    authorized IBM reseller, you should have received the code directly
    from the reseller.

    18.

    Once the authorization process is complete on the Internet

    Authorization Status screen, click Next.

    19.

    On the Licensing Complete screen, click Finish to complete

    the installation.

    20.

    You may need to restart your computer following the installation.

    If you see the screen below, click Yes.
