1. The document contains 4 problems related to circuit analysis. The first problem asks to find the Thevenin equivalent of a circuit and use it to determine the current through a 3 kΩ load. 2. The second problem involves analyzing a voltage amplifier circuit model and determining its voltage gain given input and output resistances and conditions. 3. The third problem examines an amplifier circuit driven by a current source and asks for the voltage, current, and power gains when connected to a 2 kΩ load. 4. The final problem involves determining the transfer function of a circuit, identifying if it is low-pass or high-pass, its transmission at high frequencies, and calculating its corner frequency and

1.

Through repeated application of Thevenins theorem , find the Thevenin

equivalent of the circuit in Fig.1 between node 4 and ground , and hence find the
current that flows through a load resistance of 3 k connected between node 4
and ground.

2. Consider the voltage-amplifier circuit model shown in Fig.2 , in which

Avo = 100V/V under the following conditions : Ri = 10Rs , RL = 10Ro.

3. An amplifier with an input resistance of 5 k , when driven by a current source of

1A and a source resistance of 200 k , has a short-circuit output current of 5mA
and an open-circuit output voltage of 10 V. If the amplifier is used to drive a 2 k
load, give the values of the voltage gain, current gain, and power gain.

4. For the circuit shown in Fig.4, find the transfer function T(s)=Vo(s)/Vi(s), and
arrange it in the appropriate standard form from Frequency Response of STC
Networks. Is this a high-pass or a low-pass network? What is its transmission at
very high frequencies? [Estimate this directly, as well as by letting s in your
expression for T(s).] What is the corner frequency 0 ? For R1 = 10 k, R2 = 40 k,
and C = 1 F ,find f0 . What is the value of |T(j0)|?
