HOW TO CREATE A VOKI
Directions for using and creating a Voki and embedding them into to a Wiki It is important to remember that you will be using 2 different websites: Your class Wiki page and the Voki webpage
Sign into your Wiki page
Open a new tab on the internet browser and enter www.voki.com/create.php If you have already created a Voki, click on my Voki Enter your email and password to log in If you do not have a Voki, click on register and fill out the information fields Go to your email to activate your account, click on the link in your email Log in
CREATING YOUR VOKI
Click on CREATE Choose your character and customize your Avatar When you are finished customizing and creating your Avatar click DONE You can create a background by clicking the background icon.
GIVE YOUR AVATAR A VOICE
You can give your Avatar a voice by your microphone built into your computer, headset, cell phone uses the (Phone icon), or you can type in your text use the (T icon)
DIRECTIONS FOR PUBLISHING YOUR AVATAR TO THE WIKIPAGE
Click PUBLISH Name your message, click enter A message appears saying, “Your scene has been saved.” Click CLOSE. To add your Avatar and message to your class Wiki page, COPY the source code. Make sure you copy the correct source code. DO NOT copy the MySpace code. It will not work on your Wiki. After you have copied the source code, enter back into your class WIKI page. Click on the EDIT tab on the top right hand side. A widget insert menu will appear. Click on AUDIO. At the next screen, click on OTHER Paste your source code into the white box. Click SAVE. Click SAVE again.
