SYNOPSIS

The story revolves around Milias life that is affected by her parents and
friends obsession with their phones. She hates phone very much because she
thinks it has taken away her family and friends.. As time passes, she lost her

sanity and later ends up doing something that she regrets for the rest of her
life.

Part 1 - After school

Nora and Erna are at the canteen. They are busy with their phones. Nora is taking
pictures of herself while Erna is playing game.
Nora: Wow, I never thought I would look so gorgeous in these pictures. No wonder
people mistakenly called me Neelopah.

Erna: Oh no you wont. You cant destroy my kingdom. Not when I still got few tricks in
my pocket.Eat that and eat this.
At that moment Milia enters the stage huffing and puffing.
Milia : Guys, where have you been? Ive been searching high and low for you. Ive
something to show you. (Milia put up a piece of paper in front of her friends.
Unfortunately they don't take notice of her)
Milia: Nora, Erna. Arent you listening?(feeling annoyed)
Nora: (look at Milia briefly)Oh,its you Milia. What is it that you want to tell us?
Milia: (feeling excited again) I got the best student of the year award! See..See (shoves
the paper to her friends but nobody takes it. They are too busy with their phones)
Milia:Hey, arent you listening? I said I got the best student of the year award! (shouting)
Erna: Oh thats a good news Milia. But can the clever brain of yours help me to defeat my
enemies? Im stuck at level 110 for days now.(sounds irritating)
Milia looks at her friends and she is so angry.
Milia: (stands up. Erna and Nora freeze. Milia takes Ernas phone and looks at it). What
is so special about you that make my friends are so obsessed with you?
Milia walks out the stage in rage. Erna and Nora unfreeze. Erna realises her phone is
missing.
Erna: Hey, wheres my phone?
Nora shrugs her shoulder and continues playing. Erna is panicking and she faints.

Part 2: At home. In the hall.

(Milia is waiting anxiously for her parents)

Milia: Oh I cant wait for mom and dad to return home. Im sure theyll be very proud of
me. (looking at the paper in her hand and kisses it)
(Mom returns home, looking tired)
Milia: Hi, mom.
Mom; (sounds tired) Hi, darling. (she slumps herself into the sofa)
Milia: Mom, I've got something to tell you. This is really...really...really a good news.
Ive been Mom: (Interrupts)Not now Milia. Im tired.
Milia: But Mom, this is very important. I just wantMom: (annoyed) Milia, Im tired. Dont you understand?(raises her voice)
Milia: Mom. You really have to listen to this...(Then, Moms phone beeps. Mom takes out
her phone and later is engrossed with her phone)(Milia is telling her mom the news but
her voice is muted)
Mom: Im at home now. Yeah, Im really tired. SEND
Mom: I know how it feels. But I think she deserves it. Hahaha. SEND
Mom: Ive so many things to tell you and Ive ample time to tell you everything.SEND
Milia: Isnt great mom?
(Milia stops talking and she realises her mom is not listening to her. She is so angry. Then
dad comes home. Milia approaches her father.)
Milia: Hi dad.
Dad: Hi sweetheart. (dad sits beside mom)
Milia: Dad, you look handsome today.
Dad: Well, as usual.

Milia: Dad, Ive something to show you.(Milia gives the paper to her father. Dad takes it
and gives it to Mom but she put it aside)
Milia: Mom...Dad, dont you want to read what is written on the paper? (sounds
frustrated)
Dad: Ill read it tonight. But now please dont disturb me because Im tired. (Dad takes
out his phone and starts messaging)
mom: Hows your day honey
Dad: Not bad. You?
Mom: Hmm same here.
(Milia takes the paper and walks to the corner of the stage. She looks sad while looking
at the paper. She glances at her parents.Suddenly she becomes angry and she crumples
the paper. Mom and Dad freeze. Milia takes her dads phone)
Milia: (to the audience) can you see what this thing has done to me?? My parents ignore
me. My friends do not care about me. Im all alone here. Nobody loves me anymore. I
just HATE this thing! (throws the phone on the floor and stomps on it repeatedly)
(Milia leaves the stage. Mom and Dad unfreeze. Dad realizes his phone is missing)
Dad: Errr honey..do you see my phone?
Mom: No..where did you put it?
Dad: it was with me just now. (searching everywhere and looking confused then he steps
on his phone.)
Dad: Oh no. Milia!!!!! (Rush out of stage)
Mom: Honey, where are you going? ( walks out the stage)

Part 4. In Milias room

(Milia is holding a handphone. She looks at it vengefully.)
Milia: You have taken away my mom...my dad...my friends. Nobody cares about me
anymore. Its all because of you!
(Milia walks back and forth. She looks confused. Her face shows strong emotion. Then
two phones walk into the stage)
Phone 1: Milia....Milia....
Milia: (Looks surprise) Who...who are you? What are you doing in my room?
Phone 2: Dont you recognize us? Im Samseng and she is UPhone, the smartest phone
ever created by man. And we are here to take away your family and your friends. (the
phone laughs an evil laugh)
Milia: What! No...no...You cant take them away from me. Theyre mine.
Phone 1: Face it Milia. They dont love you anymore. In fact, they dont need you.
Phone 2: Why do they, when they have us. Hahahahaha(while slowly leaving the stage)
Milia: (Milia shakes her head and shuts her ears) No...its not true. I have to do
something...i have to save them. I must destroy you...destroy you.(looking at the phone)
I....must destroy you
Part 4: At Milias house
Milia is rocking her body on the floor. Nora and Erna enters the stage.
Erna: Hi Milia. The door is unlock, so we just come in. Where have you been? Why
didnt you come to school? It has been a week you know.
Nora: Are you okay Milia? Are you sick?(put her back hand on Milias forehead)

Erna: You should tell us if you have any problems. Were your friends.
Nora: Yes Milia. Were your friends. You shouldnt shut us out. Do tell us if you need us.
Milia; (stops rocking her body and looks at her friends) Really?Did you really mean that.
Nora: Of course Milia.
Nora and Erna hug Milia. Then a phone beeps. Nora and Erna look into their bags and
search for their phones.
Nora: Hey, my new friend from London text me. At last he replied my message. He is
soooo gorgeous you know.
Erna: Oh really? I hope this one stays longer.(laughing then stands up and walk). I hope I
can beat my last score.
They walk to the centre stage and sit on the chairs. They are now on their phones. Milia
looks at her friends angrily.
Milias parents return home.
Nora: Hi Uncle Hashim, hi, Auntie Shima.
Dad: Hi girls. (sits on the chair. Takes out his handphone.He doesnt even look at her
daughter)
Mom; How long have you been here? Wheres Milia? (she sits besides her husband and
takes out her phone. Nora and Erna shrug their shoulders)

Milia walks to the center stage while looking at her parents and friends
Milia walks to the centre stage. Mom, Dad, Erna and Nora freeze.
Milia: See? (sound disgust) They are so obsessed with their phones. They dont even
bother to look at me.Am I not important to them?(takes out a phone). You...you. Look

what you have done to my family. Before you came into their lives, I was so happy. We
eat...we sleep...we sing....and I was so...so happy. (happy face).
But now....everything has changed. I hate you... I hate you...
At that moment the two phones walk into stage.
Phone 1: theres no use Milia. No matter what you do, youll never get your family and
friends back. You know why?
Phone 2: because they do not love you anymore, Milia, thats why....(evil laugh)
Phone 1: They don't want you anymore.
Phone 2: Why do they, when they have us.
Phone 1: They love us Milia....They love us.....and they hate you.....
The phones dance around Milia. Mocking her. Milia closes her ears.
Milia: Shut up, shut up! I hate you....Ill destroy you all.
The phones stand in front of Nora,Erna,Mom and Dad, and dancing mockingly. Milia
takes out a knife. She wants to kill the phone. She stabs the phones. There are screaming.
The phones slowly walk out the stage. Milia comes into her senses.
Milia: Oh my God. What have I done? (drops the knife) (frantically moving). Mom, Dad.
Im sorry. Oh, Im sorry. I didnt mean to kill you....Oh, what have i done. Erna, Nora...
Milia puts her moms head in her lap.
Milia: Mom...Im sorry.....Im sorry.....Im sorry....(cries)
Slowly Milia stops crying. She stands up and points fingers to audience.
Milia: You...do you want your children to end up like me? ( laugh)
Milia: (walks slowly in between her parents and friends body.) I didnt kill them.
You...you...you kill them.(laugh then run out of stage)
