What Are the Benefits of LCD Projectors in

Schools?
Projectors make presentations viewable to large audiences.

by Contributing Writer

Many of us have a picture in our heads of a typical teacher filling the

whole classroom blackboard up with lines of math problems to solve or
sentences to diagram. But many modern instructors have new teaching
tools at their disposal, such as digital projectors that will project
whatever is on a computer onto a wall or screen and doesnt require any
erasers, messy chalk dust or that horrible squeaking, scratching noise
that blackboards tend to make.

Easier to Connect
The Langwitches, a worldwide group of teachers researching and
blogging about quality writing, have found plenty to like about LCD
projectors, including that all students in a classroom can see all the
information on a computer. In the past, students would have to take turns
or crowd around a standard-sized monitor, and some students would
complain that it was hard to see.

New Types of Lessons

Though overheads, white boards and chalkboards are able to present the
same information to every student, a computer tied into a LCD projector
can offer much more innovative displays, such as geography lessons by
touring Google Earth, watching live webcams from different parts of the
community, or streaming educational videos.

Ease of Use
Connecting projectors with computers used to require the services of an
audio/video specialist to learn and present new technology, according to
the Journal, a technology-oriented site for the educational community.
However, teachers want to learn how to operate the equipment
themselves so they can control their lessons and the material they show

Your Reflection

1. Name at least 5 skills that a teacher should have to be able to come up with effective board displays.
Elaborate on why each skill is needed.
1. Creative skill- to make their board attractive to easily get the audience attention. 2. Analytic skill
Analysis is very important especially when creating a board display that is set to impart a
message to viewers. Before it is made, deliberate planning and organizing is needed to assure
that the objectives in setting up the display are met. 3.Computer skill-The teacher should have
this skill for him/her to be more updated with the latest topics relevant to what he/she is
making. 4. Artistic skill the teacher must possess this skill for him/her to create a stunning
and aesthetic piece of art which will entice every viewers attention. 5. Analytic skill
Analysis is very important especially when creating a board display that is set to impart a
message to viewers.

2. Which of the skills do you already have? Recall your past experiences in making board displays.
How do you practice these skills?
For me I think Computer skill because as a student or teen rather this the only thing that the
students have or a teenager has._____________________________
3. Which skills do you still need to develop? Reflect on how you can improve on or acquire these skills.

I think the teacher used those materials because it is easy to manipulate and it can't

What difficulties, if any, did the teacher experience? How can this be managed?
I think one of the difficulties in this material did the teacher experienced is when the plug of the
projector was remove not only for once but twice. but the teacher managed it by continuing the discussion
even if the projector was off or stop.
Over-all, were the learning resources/materials used effectively? Why? Why not?
For me yes, but it's depends on the student willingness to listen. I mean it is depending on the students
because based on what I observed some of the students are not willing to listen to their teacher. and also its

is depending on the teacher because if the teacher doesnt know how to handle or how to motivate
students, the effectiveness of the learning materials is useless.

their

Your Reflection
1. Put yourself on the place of the teacher. What would you do similarly and what would you do
differently if you will teach the same lesson to the same group of students? Why?
The thing that I will do similarly to the teacher is the teacher's motivation. Because in this
motivation the students are active and they are enjoying on what they are doing. Maybe it is difficult
to finish in five minutes but they are willing to finish the task. I like this motivation because it can
build some of the skills of the students like their Creativity, to be a cooperative student and also their
social skills. And the thing that I don't want to do or the thing that I will do differently to the teacher
is the Energy. Because I think this is the reason why the students felt sleepy during the discussion.
But not all the time.

Your Analysis
Give at least three benefits of doing a survey of available materials before making your own materials?
Explain each.
1.

One of the benefits of surveying the available materials is for you to know what materials
you will going to be use.
2.
Second is for you to know if the materials that are you going to be use are available or
not.
3.
Third, for you to be able choose whatever you wanted to use in your
discussion.

Your Reflection
1. Which of the materials did you like making the most? Why?
I think the Triangle Tangram, the motivation of the teacher. because I see how the students
interacted to each other and how they are willing to perform to finish the
task that was given to
them.
2. What difficulties, if any, did you encounter in making the materials? How did you overcome them?
If there isdifficulties that you will encountered in doing this material maybe it is when your
materials are not available but you can manage it because you can buy it in the nearest store in your
house.
What tips can you give teachers regarding preparation of teaching materials?
The only tips that I suggest is to make sure if the material that you will going to use are available
or not. then do it or make it with all your heart. Love what you do and Do what you love.
