1. What are your goals for your future?
My short-term goal for now is to graduate high school with good grades and enter college. Although grades
do not accurately measure an individual, I still believe they are necessary for success. Entering college will
be the end of one of my short-term goals and the beginning of my long one. I hope to enter in a career of
medical research after college and make a difference in the world. Ultimately, if I am able to make a
difference in the world and help those that are less fortunate than I am, I will be satisfied with anything.

Medical Scientists are tasked with researching/investigating human or animal diseases, preventive methods,
and treatments. If a discovery is made, they may also present findings to a scientific audience. Medical
Scientists may include dentists, physicians, public health specialists, pharmacologists, and medical
pathologists.

Some detrimental traits to this career are science skills in biology or chemistry, as well as medicine. This job also r

In the state of California, the outlook for this career is very high. There is always a high demand for researchers.

A Ph. D or a post-Ph. D is needed for any of these jobs. There are indeed a lot of certifications
required for these jobs. A few of them are Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Chemistry, and
Medical Physics.

To become a researcher is my goal. The pros are obviously that I would enjoy this type of job, as
well as the pay is great. The cons are the length of education that I need alongside the
certification.
