Bondurant-Farrar Community Schools Artifact Artifact Title: PLC Logs

This document summarizes a PLC (Professional Learning Community) log artifact submitted by Courtney Ahlquist. The log shows evidence that she fulfills her professional responsibilities through collaborating with colleagues in weekly PLC meetings to discuss curriculum, student data and assessments. The meetings allow the preschool teaching team to stay aligned on curriculum and address any student concerns. Reflecting on the artifact, Ahlquist notes the PLC meetings are helpful for the team and that creating an ongoing Google Doc has improved the logging of their discussions.

I chose this artifact to show:

_____ growth in this standard
___x_ strength and competency in this standard
Evidence to support attainment of this standard:
Description of artifact and how the artifact meets the standard:
The artifact shown is a running record of our PLC meetings that the preschool teachers log after
working together each Monday. In each PLC meeting, we discuss curriculum, any data that we
may have or concerns about students, and the assessments we will be doing for the week. During
these meetings, we are respectful of one anothers time, and respectful in what we share about
our students.
Reflection on artifact (what went right, what went wrong, how to make better)
The PLC meetings are helpful to me so that the preschool team is all on the same page, and to
verify that we are all teaching the same curriculum. The logs also help narrow in on what should
be discussed at these meetings, and eliminate any questions on what shouldnt be brought up. We
have made our PLC logs better by now creating an on-going log in Google Docs.
