Ms. Zittlosen worked in my fifth grade classroom during her practicum as well as a portion of her student teaching experience. She cultivated a relationship of respect and authority with one of the toughest groups of children I have ever been assigned in my 18 years of teaching. She worked tirelessly with a new math curriculum to our district and made it both engaging and interesting for the students.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am honored to write this letter of recommendation for Brianna Zittlosen. Ms.
Zittlosen is not only a caring and competent teacher, but an extraordinary professional. It is uncommon to find someone so new to the field that is capable of the confidence and ability she demonstrated while in my classroom. I would be honored to work alongside her and consider any school fortunate to hire her. Ms. Zittlosen worked in my fifth grade classroom during her practicum as well as during a portion of her student teaching experience. During that time she cultivated a relationship of respect and authority with one of the toughest groups of children I have ever been assigned in my 18 years of teaching. She demonstrated a solid understanding of classroom management from seating arrangements to managing disruptions. The 33 children in my classroom ranged from gifted learners to a great many who had severe behavioral issues. Ms. Zittlosen strived to meet each of their needs with a caring and firm hand. I had the fullest of confidence that had I been asked to step outside the room, Ms. Zittlosen would have carried on the lessons and managed to maintain the engagement and rigor required within our room. Curriculum is another strong point for Ms. Zittlosen. While in my classroom she worked at co-teaching with me on many different lessons. She was often able to explain a math concept from a different perspective that many of the students needed to be able to meet the standard being taught. Her lessons provided the needed prerequisite knowledge while also challenging those students who already possessed it. She worked tirelessly with a new math curriculum to our district and made it both engaging and interesting for the students. Her language arts lessons inspired many of the students to stretch their abilities as writers as well. She often worked one on one with students to help them expand their writing; leaving them with a sense of pride in their work and an excitement to improve their skill. During her time within our school she proved to be a valuable asset to our fifth grade team and school community. She assisted with planning for both short and long term goals within the team on a regular basis. She also volunteered to assist with large school programs to improve what we could offer our community. Any school would benefit from her enthusiasm and ideas. Perhaps the strongest recommendation I can make is that if Ms. Zittlosen were to teach at my own childrens school, I would seek her as their teacher. From the moment she walked into my classroom she became an integral part of our community of learners. She embraced a large, challenging group of students and never once faltered. I would be overjoyed if she were to be assigned to teach my personal children, for I know that they would have a caring teacher who would strive to inspire them to be lifelong learners, caring individuals, and risk takers. It is with the utmost confidence that I recommend her for a position in any classroom.
