Instructions for Testing a Questionnaire

Make the interview or let the respondent fill in the questionnaire. Note the time.
Afterwards ask if you can ask some general questions about the questionnaire itself.
Emphasise that it is the questionnaire and not the respondent you would like to test.
Any problems he/she reports about the questions or any comments he/she has are
of the greatest value to us.
There are no right or wrong answers. What we want to know is how you personally
experienced the questions and if you had any problems.
You write down the answers.

You ask what she/he thought of the preparatory information and note the
answer.

What does the respondent think about the subject?

You ask for the respondents general impression of the questionnaire.

Ask if there were any questions she/he had problems with or wants to
comment on.
If you have the answer Other specify and listen to the respondents answer.
Could this answer be another response alternative?
Is it any comments on other questions?
When the interview is finished notes the time and thanks the respondent for
his effort in helping us constructing a better questionnaire.
Summarise your comments!
