Founded in 1986, Tectonic Engineering & Surveying
Consultants P.C. is a multi-disciplined engineering firm
employing a staff of 500 professionals comprised of civil,
structural, geotechnical and environmental engineers,
surveyors, planners, and construction inspectors. The
substantial experience of our staff presents a company
that is highly qualified to accomplish projects varying in
size, scope or complexity.
To ensure the highest level of quality and consistency,

TECTONIC maintains two state-of-the-art materials testing
laboratories in Long Island City (NYC) and Newburgh, New York. Our
laboratories utilize the Tectonic Materials Database; an automated
data reporting system which distributes our laboratory testing
results directly to the client.
TECTONIC laboratories are licensed by the NYC Building Department
and AASHTO Accredited for Portland Cement Concrete, Portland
Cement Concrete Aggregate and Soil testing, and U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers accredited. Both of our labs undergo periodic audits
as well as routine maintenance and calibration of all equipment.
We are also participants in the biannual CCRL Laboratory Inspection
Program. Our Long Island City laboratory is approved by NVLAP.
We offer in-depth knowledge of the prevailing codes and standards
of the NYC Building Department which are modeled on the
International Building Code with specific provisions to meet NYCs
unique features such as its narrow lots and density of varied buildings.
We are adept through substantial experience in the coordination
