I chose this artifact to show:
__X__ growth in this standard _____ strength and competency in this standard Evidence to support attainment of this standard: Description of artifact and how the artifact meets the standard: As a teacher it is so important to engage in professional growth throughout the school year. My 3 rd grade team and I work together to apply research, knowledge, and skills from professional development to improve our teaching practice. We complete our PLC Math Planning Log for each chapter of our math curriculum of GoMath!. We each collaborate on the chapters, teach our ability group, and then reflect on what went well and what we need to improve for the following year. Reflection on artifact (what went right, what went wrong, how to make better) This PLC Math Planning Log is a great tool for our team to use to make sure we are applying appropriate and current teaching strategies. We work together to plan the scope and sequence of each chapter to help us stay on track for report cards and the school year. At the end of each chapter we also take the time to reflect on the instruction, extension activities, and re-teaching material. We are able to see what each teacher had successes on and what struggles we shared. We are on our second year using our PLC Math Planning Log and it is very helpful for this year. We are using more enriching materials to make the math strategies, skills, and facts more concrete to the students. I am very excited to continue to grow as a professional by using our PLC Math Planning Log.
