This document outlines a lesson plan for teaching Chamber Theater using the story "The Spider's Thread" by Ryunosuke Akutagawa. The learning objectives are for students to differentiate Chamber Theater from a regular play, read passages from the story with expression, and perform the story using Chamber Theater techniques. The lesson will introduce Chamber Theater, its characteristics as proposed by Robert Breen including exaggerated movements, frozen poses between lines, and pantomimed props. Students will analyze differences from a typical play, learn the story, and be evaluated on their understanding and performance.
