Participation/Assignments
Students are expected to work on warm-ups, journal entries, take notes, complete
assignments, and ask/answer questions, and keep their notebooks organized.
Warm-ups, notes, and any other assignment will be checked during notebook
checks at the end of every week for a grade.

Late Work
Large assignments/projects will have a deduction of 10 points per day that the
assignment is late. Late homework is not accepted.
Make-Up Work
If a student has an excused absence, they will have 5 days to turn in any missing
assignment. If a student misses a test of quiz, they should consult with the teacher
to agree on a time to make it up that is mutually convenient. After 5 days, the
test/quiz will be counted as a zero until the student has made it up.
Homework
Homework will be assigned nightly on that days material. Assignments will be
reviewed in class the following day. The student must bring the completed
assignment to class in order to receive credit. Indicators shown below must be
present in order for an assignment (specifically homework) to be accepted.

Classroom Expectations and Rules

1. Social Contract
2. Be respectful! Rudeness, disrespect, and bullying will not be tolerated in our
classroom. Remember to show respect for yourself and others in our
classroom.
3. Be on time! 3 tardies = lunch detention!
4. Be prepared daily! You must come to class with your spiral, pencils, and your
homework. Composition notebooks are kept in class to do your daily warmup
and journal entry in (will be checked weekly for a grade).
5. Be responsible! You are accountable for your own success! Take every
opportunity to learn as much as you can!
6. Cell phones are not to be used or seen during class, unless you see a yellow
stop light that day in the room, then they can be parked on your desk,
facedown. All cell phones must be turned off and placed in your purse or
book bag. Cell phones that are visible, audible or being used during my class
will result in 1) a warning, 2) lunch detention, 3) office referral.
7. We will utilize technology in class with laptops and ipads quite a bit. In
addition, the online textbook will need to be utilized outside of class. If you
do not have access to the internet at home, then you will need to find time
before or after school, or during KnightTime to access the internet here on
campus. If there are any issues please, feel free to come and talk to me
about it.

I have read and understand Mrs. McGees syllabus for a successful semester in Math
