Computer Build Exercise
Computer Build Exercise
Part 1 Select and Identify the motherboard and parts for a minimum
configuration.
Go online and find a mid priced motherboard. Start to complete the 1st table
by filling in the motherboard specs in the top section. Select a computer case
and operating system.
Complete the system by identifying and selecting components that are
compatible with the the motherboard that you selected. Fill in table 1 with all
parts required to have a working system. This is a bare bones system, so
nothing too special, just everything you need so the system will work. HDD
should be 1 2 TB.
Part 2 Do the exercise again using the same motherboard, case and
operating system as in part 1.
Fill in table 2 with the motherboard, case and O/S information from Table 1.
You do not need to describe the sub components of the motherboard as this
has been done in table 1. Just fill in the prices of the 3 components.
Now go online and select the components to max out the capabilities of the
motherboard.
Lookup RAID systems for computers and select a raid system that is
compatible with your motherboard. Purchase the number of hard drives
needed to complete your raid system.
