1. Coffee
How many ounces of coffee can be bought for $2.56 if 2 pounds cost $7.42?

2. Sharing Expenses
Five housemates held a party. They agreed to share the expenses equally.
Leroy spent $5 on sodas. Alex spent $12 on paper plates. Kerry spent $19 on
decorations. Max spent $16 on snacks. Maqueeda spent $8 on envelopes and
paper to send out invitations, and she also spent $5.35 on postage.
Who owes money to whom?

3. Airplane Seats
On an airplane that is two-thirds full, 15% of the passengers are boys, one-fourth
of the passengers are women, one-fifth of the passengers are girls, and there are
72 men. How many seats are on the plane?

4. 12 Squares
The picture shows twelve equal squares. The total area is 48 ft2. What is the
perimeter of the figure?

5. Shaded Area
Find the shaded area in the figure. The large figure is a square, and each arc is
one-fourth of a circle.
