How to hold a violin?

held horizontally with the left side of the


instrument slightly angled.
The left side of the violin should always be angled
higher than its right side.
Resting on the chin rest of the instrument.

How to hold a viola

held horizontally with the left side of the


instrument slightly angled.
The left side of the violin should always be angled
higher than its right side.
Resting on the chin rest of the instrument.

How to hold cello


The neck and scroll of
the cello should be to
the left of your head
The right hand will hold
the bow

How to hold double bass


should be about

playing position.

into the pelvic
