Campbell Diagram

The Campbell diagram represents the frequency versus the rotation speed of a shaft, showing the evolution of natural frequencies corresponding to a mode. Engine order lines are superimposed on the graph to detect possible resonant points, which occur at the intersection of a natural frequency line and an engine order line. The most dangerous resonances generally involve the first few engine orders (1 to 4). An example Campbell diagram is also included.
