Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) is a task-level process that identifies and assesses hazards of each element of a job task. It defines appropriate controls and recovery measures. JHA is derived from task analysis work study techniques and is also known as Job Safety Analysis, Work Safety and Health Analysis, and Activity Risk Assessment. JHA helps ensure the safety of tasks by breaking them down to examine potential hazards at each step.
