This document outlines filming locations and plans for shooting a music video. Location 1 is a garage where the performer will be filmed from various angles under colored lights and smoke. Location 2 is a tithe barn that will be lit red, where shots of a woman in a minimalist bathroom set will portray abstract interpretations. Location 3 is a basement bathroom where close-ups will capture a woman's tears and bruises to imply she has lost a fight and hope. Location 4 is a field where drone footage will show a couple happily on a sofa, contrasting the darker emotions in the other locations.

Location 1: Garage
This is where we will film all footage of the performer.
We will cover the room in white sheets, therefore when we turn the LED lights on, the sheets will pick up on the colours and reflect it, making the room brightly lit. We will also use a smoke machine to fill the room with artificial smoke, creating silhouettes and shadows with the light for dramatic effect. The colours from the light will blend with the smoke, highlighting the performers outline, with occasional flashes on his face. We will get shots of the performer from every angle, both close up and further away for variation of angles and framing. The performer will vary from being centre in the frame to one sided, both facing the camera and turned away.
Location 2: Tithe Barn
In this room we will film the artificial bathroom scene with our main character and occasional shots of the boyfriend in reflections. We will isolate an area of the room and turn all light off except red spotlights on the room, giving it an eerie atmosphere. In this scene the set we will use is a bathtub, toilet, mirror and sink. The simplicity of the set creates an abstract location open to a variety of interpretations for the audience (e.g. memory, in her mind, the future etc). We will capture shots setting the location from further away, close ups of the girl both in the bath and looking into the mirror, birds eye view of her in the bath and reflection shots. The red lighting in the scene will enhance the originality and quirkiness in which we aim to achieve here.
Location 3: Skipwith Basement Bathroom
Here we will shoot the beginning of the music video, in which the girl is lying against the wall, slumped on the floor. As well as this, the obvious bruising on her neck and upper shoulder gives the audience the impression that she has admitted to defeat. The storyline dives in to the point in which she has had her fight with the boyfriend, showing the after effect instead of showing the fight itself. We will angle a light outside the window, giving the room artificial lighting as we will be shooting at night, we want to be in control of the light in the scene. The shots we have chosen to get are used in order to give the audience a sense of how the girl would be feeling (close ups of tears and her bruises) along with a birds eye view of her on the floor, portraying the notion that she is isolated, alone and has lost hope.
Location 4: Shiplake Field
This location will be the field in which the happy memories will be filmed at. In this, a double-seated sofa will be placed in the middle of the field and a GoPro will be attached to a drone in order to film the couple from birds-eye view and create a flawless steady effect when flying towards the couple at a fast pace. Similar to the artificial bathroom scene, this one is also one of our abstract ideas as placing a sofa in the middle of the field is un-natural and will give the video a surreal effect. This will show the audience how the couple was before he beat her, expressing their happier times together in order to contrast with the darker emotions projected in the rest of the video. We will use no other light than the natural lighting available as the scene is outside. In addition to this, we will have to work with whatever the weather condition is on the day of filming.
