Cisco & Juniper POS Interoperability - Cisco - NSP PDF

Diego Castro is looking for a tested configuration to connect a Cisco 7200 router to a Juniper M10 router with transport equipment in between. Steinar Haug provides a basic configuration using PPP encapsulation, SDH framing, and addressing on both the Cisco and Juniper interfaces. He adds that the Juniper should also specify SDH framing. Diego later clarifies that this is not a direct back-to-back connection but has fiber links of hundreds of miles between the routers. He is having issues bringing up the POS interfaces after upgrading the Cisco IOS for a new card.
