3d Modeling
3d Modeling
3D modelling in games
This is the process of developing a mathematical representation of any
three dimensional surface of an object either inanimate or living and
building it through a software.
This is an image of Call of duty weapon model with their wireframes on,
this show how modelling in games are really complex also the first stage a
3D art goes through after all of his/her art has been finalized is the
modelling stage.
Polygons
Firstly when modelling for games it is important that you consider the
polycount of the model, and make sure that you keep the polygons in
quads or triangles because this will make thing easier for you when you
get to the texturing of your model.
Toy Story three is an example of a model that took too long of time and
energy to render.
The most common rendering I will say is been use is the real time
rendering.
Real time rendering is when the computer system generates the images
or outcomes of action for the player as they occur.
This form of rendering is useful because no matter how much time you
spend planning or trying you will not be able to predict every possible
outcome of the players at any given moment because of this games run
on game engines which take in the player action and output the results.
