Introductions
1- Morning assembly

The teacher took the children from the playground to the


classroom .She organized them and they stood in a line . Then the teacher
took them to the theater to attend the morning assembly .The teacher guides
students and she sings with students and teach them what they are supposed
to say .
Interpretations/comments : I liked that the students listen to their teacher and respect
her , they were organized .The morning assembly is in the theater where there
was no games for the children so they can be focused on the assembly and
the weather was fine because if it was outside the children will feel very hot .
What i observed :

2-Snack and lunch time

The helping teacher gets the food and then students sit on the
tables and eat .Whenever the students ask the teacher about the snack time
she looks at her watch and tells them how many minutes are left . The teacher
cuts the cucumber and the pies into half and this will make children think that
they ate more and they were satisfied .
Interpretations/comments :The students were organized and knew all the rules : They
knew that they should start with duaa and finish too .No one took another
childs food because they learned that everyone has his own meal .I didnt like
that one child didnt like the snack which was cucumber , The teacher was
trying to make her eat but she didnt eat at snack time .
What i observed :

3-Starting the lesson(Circle time )


What i observed : The teacher started the class with circle time , She greeted the
students and revised what they had the day before . She let them say the day
and the date . They read quran and hadith and then talked about their theme
which was haj .
Interpretations/comments :The classroom was quiet when the teacher talked .Every
student was participating .She chose the helping hand by choosing the name
randomly from the box .Everything was prepared and was near the teacher
( materials ) .
4-Attendance

Students as soon as they come in the classroom hang their


names card on a board and then the helping hand gets the rest of the names
during circle time to the teacher to check who is absent .
Interpretations/comments :The teacher linked the absent students with numbers .
She asked them how many students were absent and then she added the
number of the girls to the boys and the students answered .I liked that she
made math involved with taking attendance .
What i observed :

5-Meet parents

In the morning the teachers were waiting near the door for
students to get in the kindergarten . Some students were crying and didnt
want to go inside the kindergarten but they took them in and talked to their
parents asking them why are they crying or what can they do to distract
them .
Interpretations/comments :The teachers were calm and didnt shout on kids even
when they were crying .The teacher was talking to a parent who had a
problem with her child and she listened to her and said that she will check
what is wrong and why did it happened .
What i observed :

6-Dealing with misbehavior


What i observed :

A child named Sultan was fighting and doing bad behaviors with

his friend .
The children during the snack time were talking and were very noisy .
Interpretations/comments :I didnt like that she shouted at them , I got afraid when
she shouted at them .She couldve had another way to keep them calm
instead of shouting at them .
7- Observe the playground
What i observed : Some

teachers were watching the kids because anyone might


fall or get hurt so the teachers were keeping their eyes on kids .The teachers
were also playing with kids .
Interpretations/comments : The teachers were moving around the place to make sure
everything is fine .
When a kid cry the teacher calms him down .I liked that the teachers were
shifting during the playing time , because some students were very attached
to their teachers so they might not find their teachers and they have to get
along with everyone and go play .
