Application For Increments

The instructor, Muhammad Anwar, has written a letter to the Director Administration of the Virtual University of Pakistan requesting an advance increment. He recently completed his MS degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Software Engineering from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences Lahore. According to clause 7 part b of the VU Service Rules, advance increments can be granted to employees who acquire higher qualifications applicable to higher posts in the same department. Therefore, Anwar is requesting consideration to grant him an advance increment based on completing his higher degree.

Respected Sir,

Respectfully, it is stated that I have completed my MS degree in Computer


Science with specialization in Software Engineering from National University of
computer and Emerging Sciences Lahore. According to the clause (7), part (b) of VU
Service Rules; “The Executive Council may, on the recommendations of the University,
grant advance increment(s) to an in-service employee upon acquiring higher
qualifications applicable to any higher post in the same department.”
Therefore, it is requested to kindly consider my case and grant me advance increment.
