2020 Change of University Rules

The HEC policy for changing institutions for a PhD program requires that the original university has no objection to transferring credits, the new university agrees to the transfer and has an available HEC-approved supervisor, the department has at least 3 PhDs with 2 being HEC-approved supervisors, and the total PhD students under HEC supervisors does not exceed HEC limits. The supervisor must also be physically located in the same city if an adjunct faculty.

The HEC policy with regard to change of institution is given

below:

1. The university accepts to give the credits for work done.


2. The present university should have no objection.
3. The admitting university should also have no objection and HEC
Approved Supervisor is available.
4. The Department in which the student is to be enrolled should have at
least 3 PhDs, out of which at least 2 are the HEC Approved Ph.D
Supervisors.
5. Total number of students enrolled in PhD programs with the HEC
Approved Supervisors is not to exceed the HEC limits.
6. If the Supervisor is an Adjunct Faculty, he/she has to be physically
located in the same city as the student. All other conditions are
remains the same.
7. Up to date Fund Utilization report.
