Task 9

The teacher used several behavior management strategies with students including eye contact, organizing students in lines, and requiring students to raise their hands before answering questions. These strategies helped the teacher maintain order in the classroom. Eye contact was effective when a student was talking to a friend and not paying attention, organizing the lines helped when a student was moving during assembly, and requiring hand raising gave all students a chance to participate and prevented one student from dominating. The teacher was consistent in establishing clear rules and expectations for student behavior.

Strategies used by teacher

Eye Contact

What children did

How useful it was

The student was talking with

his friend and not
concentrating with the
teacher.

It was useful because the

teacher did not stop explain
the lesson, she just make
with the student eye contact
and he know that he has to
stop talking with his friend.

The student was moving

while the morning assembly
is going on.

It was useful because the

student know that he do
something wrong, and he
know that the teacher
punished him by let him stand
at the last of the line.

The student was answering

the questions without raising
his hand and dont let his
friend to get a chance to
answer questions.

It was useful because the

teacher told him that you
have to give chance to your
friend and if you did not raise
your hand I will not listen to
you and I will not let you
answer the questions
anymore.

Raise their hand

1- Did the teacher maintain good order on the class? How did she do this?

- Yes, Before the class start she let all the materials that she will use it ready and
she was planning about what she will teach in each day.
2- Is the teacher clear and consistent in establishing rules and expectations regarding
behaviour?
- Yes, before each class start the teacher told about her roles to let students
remember and be quiet.
3- Which of these strategies would you use/not use? Why?
- I will use the strategies that the students have to raise their hand before
answering the questions because if I let them answer all together the classroom will be
very noisy and I will lose control.
4- Was there anything that could have been done differently?
- No, I like how she act with them and how she teaches them.
5- What surprised you?
- I was surprised about how they organize the areas.
6- What shocked you?
- I was shocked when I looked at the white board and look how it was messy, that
they hang everything on the board, so that the students cant concentrate in one thing.
7- What delighted you?
- I was delighted about the colors of the classroom, it's nice and colorful and help
students to feel excited when they enter the class.
