STUDENTS WILL
PO 1. Evaluate scientific information for relevance to a given problem.
PO 1. Identify the relationships among organisms within populations, communities, ecosystems, and
biomes.
PO 2. Describe how organisms are influenced by a particular combination of biotic (living) and abiotic
(nonliving) factors in an environment.
PO 3. Assess how the size and the rate of growth of a population are determined by birth rate, death
rate, immigration, emigration, and carrying capacity of the environment.
PO 1. Describe how human curiosity and needs have influenced science, impacting the quality of life
worldwide.

A= 100-90
B= 89-80
C= 79-70
D= 69-60
F= 59-0
ATTENDANCE:
Students MUST be present in class in order to succeed and pass the course. It will be the
students responsibility to provide the teacher with an excuse for the absence. It is the
students responsibility to retrieve the assignments and the notes missed when absent for
any reason. Make-up must be addressed during tutorial hours and NOT during class.
Students may also make an appointment with the teacher to receive make-up work if the
tutorial hours do not work with the students schedule. Remember: STUDENTS ARE
RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING UP ALL ASSIGNMENTS AND NOTES MISSED DUE TO
AN ABSENCE FOR ANY REASON.

TARDINESS:
Students who are late to class will receive a warning on their pass books. A student is
considered late if they are not inside of the classroom when the tardy bell rings.

MAKE-UP WORK:
It is the students responsibility to inquire about what assignments, notes, and class work
they have missed when they are absent with an excuse for any reason. Work turned in
after the due date will be graded for reduced credit. In order to receive make-up
work from an excused absence, students must come to tutorial, or make an appointment to
do so.

ACADEMIC INTEGRITY:
DO YOU OWN WORK! Plagiarism will not be tolerated and plagiarized material will always
receive a grade of 0. Although students may collaborate on certain projects,
