Powerpoint Present

This PowerPoint presentation describes how to construct the circumcircle of a triangle. It first defines a triangle ABC with side lengths provided. It then shows the steps to draw the perpendicular bisectors of sides AB and AC, which meet at a point S. This point S is the circumcenter. Finally, it constructs the circumcircle by drawing a circle with circumcenter S and radius equal to the distance from S to any vertex of the triangle.

CIRCUMCIRCLE
The circle passing through all the
three vertices of a triangle is called
its Circumcircle

CIRCUMCENTRE
Perpendicular bisectors of the sides
of a triangle meet at one point. It is
called the circumcentre. Radius of
the circumcircle is called
Circumradius.

CONSTRUCTION
First draw triangle ABC using the
given measures. Draw perpendicular
bisector of side AB . Then draw a
perpendicular bisector of side AC. Let
them meet at S Draw a circle with
S as centre and SA as radius. This
is the circumcircle of
ABC
