Verification of Ohm's Law

ho would wait for me anxiously in my native place? Who would display restlessness if my letter fails to arrive? I will visit thy grave with this complaint: Who will now think of me in midnight prayers? All thy life thy love served me with devotion— When I became fit to serve thee, thou hast departed.[

Verification of Ohms law

Ohms law:
It states that current flowing through a conductor between two points is directly proportional to
voltage applied between these points.

VI
V=IR
Apparatus:

Variable power supply

Main AC supply
Resistance Box
Multimeter
Ammeter
Wires

Procedure:
1. Set variable power supply to DC and connect it to main power supply to check it for
any error.
2. Connect wires to variable power under DC mark then correct black wire to the black
and red to respective terminal in power supply
3. Ammeter should be connected to variable power supply in series
4. Now increase the voltage through block rotating regulator step by step
5. Note the reading and plot the graph

Precautions
1. Check that all the connections are tight and proper.
2. Dont turn on the power while making connections.
3. Check that current should not exceed the ammeter limit
